Where it all Began . . .

Chepe went into the dorm again to see Tesanee. He glared at her. "Why did you say anything about my birthday, sis?" he asked. "Now I bet everyone's going to know. I didn't plan to tell anyone my birthday was coming up." he sighed, at the expression on Tesanee's face. "I'm sorry." he said to her

Tesanee looked up at Chepe with her blue eyes wide as he chewed her out for mentioning his birthday. "I'm...sorry Chepe....I didn't know there was anyone else here." she looked sad. Chepe apologized for upsetting her, then he said that she could stay there that night.

Chepe assumed by now Lena should have made it home so he asked Tesanee for Lena's number. After she gave it to him, he picked up the phone and dialed it. When Lena answered, he said, "Hi, Lena It's Chepe.....did you make it home yet?" he smiled. "Oh when we're done talking, Tesanee wants the phone. Is that ok? She wants to talk to you."

Smiling at the sound of Lena's voice,relief evident in his own, Chepe said, "I'm glad you made it home ok. I would have come looking for you on my motorcycle if you hadn't made it home safe." Chepe looked over at Tesanee and smiled. "I don't want anything to happen to you."

Chepe grinned into the phone. "Yeah, I have one." he said. "I'll definitely take you for a ride on it if you'd like me to." He looked over at Tesanee. "She's right here. You want to talk to her now?" asked. "I'll see you tomorrow ok?" He said quietly into the phone. "Here's Tesanee. Good night Lena." Chepe offered the phone to his sister.

Tesanee took it as Chepe headed to his room, undressing on the way, till he was in his boxers. Tesanee was used to seeing him do that and she laughed at him. She knew he'd be asleep quickly once he got into his room. Angel followed him to the door of his bedroom. Chepe smiled at his sister, told her goodnight and disappeared through the doorway.

"Hello?" she said, still grinning, her brother's hasty retreat making her laugh.

Aaron finished dressing, and hoped that no one was outside. He wore a purple fedora shirt, matching black and red vest, and black dress pants. "News calls for a storm today..." he said, sighing, and taking a umbrella from under his bed. He went to the washroom, combing his hair, his bangs covering up the right side of his face. The ladies loved it, of course. He sighed, and slowly walked to the dorm door, seeing Tesanee as he did, "'Ello Nee, lock the door, would ya?" he asked, stepping into this Alligator shoes, and opening the umbrella, heading outside.

************************************At the host club************************

He saw the ladies inside the club, already waiting for him. 'Darn it...five minutes late...well...better later than never...' he thought, heading into the club, and escorting the ladies into his room, smiling and waving, and complementing them.

Tesanee said, "Yeah, I want to." She giggled because she saw Chepe disappearing into his room wearing only boxers. "umm sorry I just saw my brother in his boxers getting ready for bed." she thought nothing of saying it. "He's going to be 18." she said, grinning. "I want to make him have fun." she said. "So do you have any ideas? I know I could really embarrass him in truth or Dare." she laughed.

Tesanee looked toward Chepe's closed door. "I don't really know." she said. "I don't remember the island...and he never talked to me about it." She smiled. "Pick something you enjoy doing and we can do that. And I think you'll find that I don't mind you doing Truth or Dare as much as you might think" She was already making her plans for escaping the following day. "I think we should plan that."

"That sounds good." Tesanee said. "But where do you want to go? I don't know anything about the island." she laughed. "My brother will go anywhere. He likes swimming, he always liked the beach back home..."

"Okay Lena." Tesanee said. "You get some sleep too." She sat on the couch with a blanket that her brother had left out for her. "Good night." she said, yawning as she hung up the cell phone. setting it on the table next to the couch she fell asleep.

Chepe fed Angel, put their food on to cook and looked over at his sister. "Tesanee!! Time to wake up!" he said loudly. When he saw her sit up he said "Have any plans for today?" he asked, suspiciously, looking at her. He went to check the oven after about 20 minutes and saw that their meal was fully cooked.

Tesanee sat up, stretching. "You snore, Chepe." she said. "LOUDLY. You were shaking the walls." She said "I don't have plans today." She was trying not to grin.

Aaron bustled out of the room, "I can't be late..I can't be late.." he kept on saying to himself, over and over while putting on a pair of jeans, the red vest from yesterday, and the hat. He went to the washroom, and quickly brushed his hair, his teeth, and washed his face. He went to get his shoes, and close the dorm door, locking it, and running to the school, "I'm not late for class, I'm not late for class.." he said, continuing to run.

Chepe dressed for class quickly in jean shorts and a blue t-shirt. Putting his shoes and socks on, he grabbed some leftovers from the previous night, and quickly ate. Letting Angel out to go to the bathroom, he finished his breakfast. He grabbed his guitar bag, and let Angel back inside before heading to class.

Arriving back at the dorm, Chepe parked the motorcycle in it's usual place. Climbing off of it, he unbuckled his helmet, and pulled it off. He put it down in the bike's trailer and carefully lifted the large potted roses. Each pot was so large that it was hard for him to get both arms around them. He arranged them at the dorm's entrance and went inside.

Chepe got some scissors and a blue ribbon from a bag of stuff that he used when making bouquets and set to work. He went to a cupboard and pulled out a crystal vase that had belonged to his mom. Going back out to the rosebushes, he cut a few half opened blooms from the plants. One each of red, white and peach. Gadiel had said he would bring a few more over later in the week, and chepe went back inside with the freshly cut flowers. Working slowly, with the flowers in the vase, adding baby's breath here and there, making it look as though the roses were nestled in a soft cloud of white, he carefully tied them together with the satiny ribbon. He arranged them so that when he took them out of the water the next morning, they would stay the way he wanted them to. Sitting back, he admired his work and put a few paper towels in a baggie. He added water to the bag to moisten the towels and set it beside the flowers. He stood, taking the flowers to the table and put them there to keep them out of the reach of Angel's inquisitive nose.

Chepe looked down at Angel who had been asking for attention since he had walked in the door. "Hello, girl." He said. "Did you miss me?" He sank down on the floor, pulling the chubby puppy into his lap. "I'm sorry I haven't been home, little guardian Angel, I've been busy today." Chepe snuggled his face against Angel's cheek. "I have to tell you, little guardian Angel, that you're not the only important girl in my life now, besides Tes." He laughed at his puppy, then got a serious expression on his face that he couldn't keep up."There is another girl now too, who is important to me, little guardian Angel. You already met her so I know you'll be nice." Angel tried to lick Chepe's face as she wagged her long, thick tail furiously at him. "I have something planned for when I meet her tomorrow. Should I do it?" He asked, whispering his plan to the puppy.

Giving Angel one last pat on the head, he gently put her on the floor as he stood up. "Should we go outside, Angel?" he asked. "I bey you're ready to go out!" Chepe walked to the door and opened it as Angel made a dash to the nearest small shrub and squatted, eliminating completely before dashing back to Chepe, her floppy ears bouncing as she ran, her body rocking from side to side.

Chepe stood at the door waiting as she ran to him and skidded past him, knocking into the table as she tried to put on the brakes. Chepe laughed as he stood. "I have to go shower, little guardian Angel." he said, going into his room and coming out with a clean pair of boxers.

Chepe went into the bathroom and ran the water in the shower, using his hand to test the temperature until it was at a comfortable temperature. When the temperature felt right, he quickly stripped down and climbed into the warm water. He washed thoroughly and, turning off the water, he reached around the shower curtain and found the towel that he had placed on the sink. After drying himself off well, he put his boxers on and brushed his teeth. He left the bathroom, brushing his still damp black hair, singing to himself, low and under his breath. Angel's ears perked up at the sound and she followed Chepe as he disappeared into his room.

Chepe left his room and went to the bathroom. When he was done, he went to the kitchen, pulling some of Angel's leftover food out of the fridge and putting it on the floor in the dog bowl for her. Angel hungrily ate it, very fast. "Hey, slow down, my little guardian Angel." Chepe said, with a smile, his hair falling in his face again.

He pulled a piece of leftover chicken out of the fridge as well and ate it as he moved around the room, picking up his school stuff and putting it by the door. Finally finishing his food and letting Angel out, he pulled out his phone. Dialing Lena's phone number, he washed his greasy hands as the phone rang.

Chepe laughed at how Lena answered the phone. "No..I hope I'm not Emma." he said, smiling into the phone. "And Good morning to you too, beautiful. It's Chepe, in case you didn't recognize me. I wanted to let you know I'm on the way to meet you." He headed out the door while he talked to her, after he picked up his school stuff and wrapped the roses in the paper towels. He knew that they would be okay in the damp towels for the day. "Are you still at the dorm, or are you already walking?" he questioned her. "I am walking out the door now." He said as Angel started following him. He really couldn't wait to see her.

Chepe seriously doubted she had waited for him. She had probably completely forgotten they had planned to meet. He tried hard to not think this way, but it was hard not to. He really did love Lena. He wished he'd never left the island, because then he would have never met crazy Mina.

Chepe smiled, talking into the phone, he said, "That's okay. So it's a nice day again?" he asked Lena. He looked out of the open door, watching Angel run ahead. "It IS nice out there! I didn't notice when I let Angel out. I wish I could live outside. I might camp out one of these days." he laughed. "well, I'll be out there in a minute." he said. "See you very soon...Bye." he hung up the phone and left, Angel following.
