Lunch Time -- Cafeteria

Was she serious? Kanga-Drewe…? Weeell he was a wonder down under!

Though he was warned not to Drewe couldn’t help but laugh . . . actually laugh not just his fake chuckle he threw in now and again when a girl thought she was funny. Lorilynn had him gripping at his sides as he shook his head at her, his golden locks bouncing about his face. “How did you come up with such a name?” He questioned claiming some composure over himself as his amused gaze captured Lorilynn’s. Hoping that his sudden fit of laughter hadn’t upset her, he immediately tried to rectify his sudden loss of control. “That name should be fine as long as you’re the only one calling me that. Not sure how I’d feel having some of my buddies refer to me as Kanga-Drewe.” Compared to the names other girl’s called him this one wasn’t half bad . . . it wasn’t some sickly sweet nickname and wouldn’t get blipped out on a family television program.

Sitting back in his seat, arms crossed as he eyed Lorilynn Drewe changed the subject in order to put his plans in motion. “Since you’re new here Lori I could show you around the Island sometime this weekend if you’re available.”

"Hey, you lied to me," Lorilynn fake pouted. Drewe - sorry, that would be Kanga-Drewe now - wasn't supposed to laugh! Her cheeks reddened a bit more as she watched the blonde laugh at her silly nickname for him. "It wasn't that funny." she frowned, folding her arms. Waiting until Drewe was finished, she was a little caught off guard by his question. "The name? Kangaroo rhymes with Drewe, so I combined them. Nothing too fancy." She blinked. Listening to Drewe some more, she couldn't help but giggle at the sound of his friends calling him by the nickname she gave him. At least she was special enough to refer to him as that.

Watching his posture change, her eyes immediately lit up as soon as he asked to show her around the island. It would've been wonderful, and she really wanted to go, but she decided she'd play around with him for a little while. "How thoughtful, but it kind of sounds like you're asking me out on a date. You move fast, don't you?"

Drewe’s infamous smirk immediately found its way to his enticingly full lips. So Lorilynn could keep up with him and wasn’t too shabby with her quips. There were far too many girls that attended Valevay who were unable to keep up with his games so when he stumbled across one that could – it certainly intrigued him. And needless to say her playful determination on catching him off guard was rather cute. Though it had only made him want to tease her relentlessly.

“Date? Did I say date?” Drewe questioned leaning in slightly over the table - the single thing separating them. “Lori you should have told me sooner that’s what you wanted…I’m a gentleman I would have been more than happy to accommodate your needs -” Drewe’s lips curled into a haughty smile as the playful words baited her on.

My, my. What a playful one. Lorilynn thought, giving a small smirk. Scoffing playfully, she leaned back a bit while looking at her nails. "Au contraire, Kanga-Drewe. I don't need anything." She studied the blonde intently. What a playful one indeed. Twirling her hair around her index finger, Lorilynn gave a smile of pure innocence. "Do you know what I'd like? I'd like for you to show me around the island." Being serious for a moment, Lorilynn truly did want to tour around the island. Anywhere besides home was intriguing to her, and being accompanied by a handsome gentleman - well, she just couldn't pass up the opportunity.

Ah-Gyul watched Olivia's expressions closely. It was refreshing to see a person like an open book, without also being simple-minded... He paused before answering carefully. "Isn't that similar to what you've asked before? Anyway, yes I have some good friends that you might say I miss. Two idiots and three scary girls." He wasn't going to have the conversation stay about himself though, not at this time. So he turned it on her. "So how about you? Aside from family, did you have many friends in Australia? And where should I visit there?"
He leaned towards her slightly with attentiveness, encouraging her to expound upon herself instead.

So what she’d like, was a tour around the island?
Well he could play tour guide for a day or two - if that’s all it took to get him in Lorilynn’s good graces. Plus thanks to his “little games” Drewe knew all the sights around the island that were actually worth seeing. Since his father never cared much about his whereabouts the Island was his playground, aside from the Samo District. Drewe usually stayed clear of those riffraff…plus that poor area was far from his taste of a day trip. Besides, there were plenty of other places to show off his new eye candy.

Swiftly sliding his chair back Drewe got to his feet as the warning bell echoed through the cafeteria –notifying the students that they better skedaddle to class. Not taking his eyes off Lorilynn he made his way around the table to where she was nonchalantly leaning back in her chair. With one arm perched against the edge of the table while the other rested on the back of her chair Drewe countered her innocent smile with one of his own, “Just say the words and I’ll be your official tour guide.”

“Many? I wouldn’t say that, but yes I do have a few close friends that I miss!” Olivia answered keeping it short and sweet like Ah-Gyul had always done when approaching her questions. However, when it came to the second part of his question she could have gone on all day about Australia. After all it was her home and there were many fascinating places there! Well not so much the places –sure for tourists there were the must see- but it was the people you met that made it worth the trip. Olivia stifled a chuckle as she imagined the Asian boy trying to hold a conversation with the locals. He’d probably be lost in the Aussie slang which was thick in her neck of the woods. After all she highly doubted he knew what a freckle, nipper, or a liquid laugh was.

Ignoring the annoyingly loud bell Olivia told him about her favorite place to run off to back at home - a secluded beach near their house. That’s where the best waves were, but sometime she’d just sit out there and dip her feet in the water while the sunset. At times it was the only thing that settled her mind. There weren’t many student’s left out wandering back to classes when Olivia tied up her conversation, “Well if you ever do decide to visit you should come and see me. I’d worry that you’d get lost or get your ass kick by a stray boomer or something!”

Suppressing a small giggle, Lorilynn cleared her throat lightly before telling Drewe that she'd love to go sight seeing sometime on the weekend. "And you know," she started, slipping out of her seat carefully. "You can start by walking me to my art class." She still had no idea where she was going, and she couldn't afford to be late. She might as well let Drewe take the lead, since her new active redheaded friend was no where in sight. You'd think she'd come back to get me! Hmph!

Keeping up the gentleman façade Drewe happily agreed to escort Lorilynn to her class. Taking the lead he led her towards the Art department while working out the fine details for that weekend. Seemed as though Sunday would be best choice, plus it gave Drewe time to work out his roomate situation. Waving goodbye to Lorilynn the heartthrob headed towards his own class which was with that creepy looking science teacher. Rounding the corner he nearly missed getting trampled by a flash of red as it skirted passed him taking off towards the room he had just parted from.

At the sound of the bell Chepe gathered up his much loved guitar, and then giving the gift from mina an exceedingly nasty look before he picked it up. He knew he couldn't just leave it where it was though he wished he could. his cousin was already out the door, his long red hair flying as he disappeared around the corner.

Chepe stood, slipping his guitar over his shoulders, and carrying the flashy new one gently by the neck. it may not have been a gift from someone he cared about, but it was obviously expensive and he didn't want to harm the valuable instrument. Surely he could find someone that might like to have it....he didn't have to keep it after all. He looked around, wondering curiously what had made Lena miss lunch so completely. He was slightly worried about her. brushing the long hair out of his eyes again he looked around the room, wondering why he didn't learn and just keep his hair cut short. truth was, he just liked his hair like it was.
