Kyren Ari Stills

Hello there my fellow Roleplayers!
Sorry for the delay but "Mr. Rodeo" had too much personality for just one month! Anyways lets kick him to the curb now and welcome our newest and most anticipated character, Mr. Moody himself,

Kyren Stills

From the words of our lovely Sui, "Like a true Cancer, he is moody and reserved!"

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

True this young man is rather rough around the edges. Far from your "friendly" average highschooler. Secluding himself majority of the time Kyren immerses his attention and talent into his sketchbook. However his stoic aura is shaken only when his adorkable little sister, Emma is in his presence! If your lucky (very very very lucky) when she shows up you may even see him crack a smile. And who knows he may even have a smile that makes girl's swoon! But it's usually gone just a quickly as it appeared.

Okay, lets just get it out of the way and say this boy has an undeniable sister complex! Unwavering in fact! After loosing their father at a young age Kyren promised to protect her in his Dads place. He spends the majority of his time making sure Emma is happy and healthy! Also for her own good he battles to keep the Samo strays far away from her. Now Kyren isn't ALWAYS, as his creator may claim, a Drama King! He can be very compassionate and more than willing to treat you as family if he finds you trustworthy and you become close enough with him.

So, some advice when crossing paths with this eyeliner wearing teen. Keep your loud antic to yourself they certainly don't impress him (just ask Lena)! Keep sugar out of his reach, it makes his do very very bad things! ;) && Don't and I mean DON'T touch his sister!
Follow these simple rules, and you might survive!

Now off to the Interview! This one should be a HOOT!

Okay, so we know that over the past several months there has been very little activity in the roleplay! But really that wasn't the intial point in creating this forum in the first place.
Rai Island is what brought us all together. It's our home away from home, so to speak! We are not just a Forum full of gifted and creative writers . . . however a place full of wacky and crazy friends ;)
A place where we are creating unforgettable memories!

Even though we are constantly changing and still knee deep in finding ourselves in the world; we know that through the tears that fall and the smiles that grace our faces we will always have each other! Because no matter where our lives take us, nothing will change so much that we are not all friends still!

&& We will always have RaiIsland to come back to! Our Island ♥
Okay, okay enough of the cheesiness!
I love you CRAZY ladies!

Rebecca laughed at Lynn's challenge. To the tomboy, dirtying clothes was an insignificant detail in thebig scheme of getting down and dirty and having fun. Grass stains and naturally ripped and muddied jeans were a part of the Clemens girl's everyday lifestyle. Sure, she couldn't paint, but she would have fun getting messy because it sounded very much like with whatever they were up to that class period, Miss Goshe seemed to expect it.
"Let's do this," she told Gadiel, grinning, even though they hadn't even had their assignment explained. She was just ready as she always was.

All of the Aussie’s gratitude was lost to the smug look occupying her savior’s face coupled with his impish comment. Though that was nothing compared to what had immediately followed his words, as the Korean leaned in teasing her further by blowing in her ear. Face flushed Olivia immediately swatted him away covering her ear as an involuntary shiver shot through her body. “Oh don’t flatter yourself!” She bantered gaining her composure by looking over the list as well. Hmm.. Minami Aura??? Now who is in world is that? Though Olivia would have much preferred to partner with someone she was already acquainted with it was about time she made friends with some of her other classmates.

As Miss Goshe pointed her in the direction of the platinum blonde, Olivia parted from her fellow exchange student –this time treading carefully over the newspaper- making her way over towards her primped up art partner. “G’day! Looks like we are partners . . .” Olivia greeted attempting to break the ice. Since there wasn’t anything in particular she was afraid to get dirty she didn’t worry about the teacher’s paint warning.

Although getting pulled into a suddenly unexpected bear hug by Lena should be second nature to Emma, it still took the small brunette by surprise. Thankfully her muffled yelp went unnoticed as her curly haired friend turned her curious sights on her art partner. Taking a moment to slide her text books under the table - to keep them paint free since Mrs. Goshe foresaw a messy class session- Emma returned to Chuck’s side catching the last of his introduction, nodding and blushing slightly as he reached out giving her shoulder a gently squeeze.

Me? Manly? Lena burst out in laughter at Chuck’s comment though he seemed extremely apologetic for it. No one had turned her own antics around on her as Chuck had. He was definitely much different than she’d expected. The rumors had portrayed him to be violent and unsociable, but as he reached out gently squeezing Emma’s shoulder Lena couldn’t see any hint that proved the island gossip to be true….still it was strange seeing someone so interested in the younger of the Stills siblings.

Shaking hands with Chuck, Lena flashed a friendly smile answering his introduction honestly, “Oh yes I have heard all about you. I’m Cholena Nelson . . . daughter of Officer Nelson. From what I hear my father knows your family pretty well. After all you guys see him more than I do.” Though Lena had been serious with her statement her tone was light and playful as it always was – still it earned her a disapproving look from Emma who obviously didn’t find her comment appropriate.

"I knew you reminded me of someone. That was a pretty good impression of your dad, though you forgot to add 'you little punk' to the end of that sentence. By the way, he should've stayed for dinner last weekend. Mom was making her barbeque meatballs and nobody cooks for the big football game, like Ma does. Oh, and can you let him know the twins didn't mean to jaywalk? They just really had to pee." Chuck grinned at Lena, then promptly said with a wink, "Now if you'll excuse us, Emma and I are going to try to make something that we hope looks like art."

Sweeping a strong arm around Emma, he pulled her over to where they were apparently going to be painting... something. Cholena seemed like she was all right, but as a cop's daughter, he didn't particularly feel comfortable being as open with her as he did with Emma. Speaking of which, Chuck didn't want to make Emma think he didn't like her friend either. "Sorry I pulled you away, Emma." The short bassist said in a lowered voice, a little uncomfortable, "She seems like an okay girl, but Officer Nelson profiles us like there's no tomorrow. Just wanted to let you know so you wouldn't wonder why I might not tell her everything I'd tell you."

Grinning at Lorilynn, Miss Goshe's eyes flashed in mischief as she responded to lorilynn. "No dear you can't paint naked, although I am sure many of the boys would quite enjoy the show." She fished a smock from behind her desk and said, handing it to her, "You can wear this." She went to the paint table and said as she put a small amount of paint into a tray and dipping a paintbrush into it, she walked over to where chepe, lena, chuck and emma were.
Chepe was watching the exchange between chuck and Lena, grinning, but if he felt that she was really being disrespected, he knew that he would not be just standing there. Too many people had been on the wrong side of his slow to build temper. He gave a small smile to Lena, as Miss goshe wiped paint on chuck, using the paintbrush.

Sloppy pink paint now was on Chuck's cheek and down the side of his face, as the teacher grinned. "we are painting portraits of each other on the wall today!" she said "you will each paint your partner on the spot you have chosen. You may choose to paint your partner any way you want to, as long as you do not paint kissing." Miss Goshe grinned. "Painting clothing is NOT optional."

Lizzie smiled over at her partner, recognizing him instantly from the PE class. "Hi" she said, with another smile. "I like art, but can't say if I am really good at it." she was really a friendly girl, but she didn't know what her classmates would think of her, and she chuckled.

Kyren lifted his head to level a blank stare at his partner, only half-listening to whatever she was saying. He didn't particularly care whether the girl was any good at art; as long as they got done what they needed to, he would be satisfied. Nodding to acknowledge that he had registered what she said, but having nothing to say, made no move to continue the conversation. She was a little too smily already; he didn't want to encourage her to continue a conversation that was only going to end up being one-way.

Picking up on the fact that the teacher was speaking, and feeling no small amount of relief that he could focus on the task at hand in favor of entertaining a chatterbox, Kyren turned slightly in order to listen. Apparently they couldn't paint naked; well, wasn't that a disappointment? He chose to ignore Ms. Goshe's demonstration; after all, who wanted to look at the mangy mutt? His mind, ever the traitor, let him know, Emma has no problem looking at him. Snapping mentally at the voice that sounded suspiciously like Lena, he focused on the teacher's words alone in order to distract himself. Painting on the wall was a simple enough task. Maybe his partner will be so focused on doing well that she won't bother him with her attempts at friendliness.

The white-haired girl turned out to be Lorilynn, his partner. Ah-Gyul smirked. This put him in an easy position to exact a small revenge for her attack on him in dodgeball. He bowed to Lorilynn as a greeting, certain it would mask his inner intents.
"It's nice to meet you," he told her in his accented voice. "Are you a good painter?" He didn't wait for the answer to start painting a very basic outline of her profile--it wasn't great, but it sufficed.

"Dude, I warned you how this'd come out." Rebecca grinned broadly and dipped her paintbrush into black paint and subsequently swiped it across the papered motion, proceeding to create a circle. She outlined the shape before changing colors to red. What had begun to develop from the dark, deliberate strokes withing a matter of moments was a ninja with a long red ponytail.
In avoiding facial features in her painting, Rebecca got away with an almost decent form. It still wasn't filled in, but she wanted to see how she would be portayed.

The brunette was laughing at her own creation as she turned to her redheaded partner. "So let's see what you can do."

"Painting isn't really my forté," Lorilynn spoke lightly, smoothing out the smock Ms. Goshe handed her. It was old and dingy, but beggars couldn't be choosers. Dipping her paintbrush in the black paint, Lorilynn began to paint an outline of her partner. It wasn't the best, but she could care less. Hope he doesn't expect anything more than this. Glancing over at his portrait of her, Lorilynn smirked. "I'm assuming you're no good at this either."

Gadiel looked over the paints carefully as Becky began her painting. As he selected the colors he needed he got a chuckle out of the painting that she was creating. He actually thought it was turning out pretty good, and he thought that it was a rather interesting take to not be so detailed with features. All in all, he thought it was rather good.

Gadiel started his own painting slowly and deliberately, beginning with the outline and carefully filling it in, changing and mixing colors in an attempt to make his painting as good as he could. This girl deserved the best work he could do and he was determined to succeed. He painted carefully, looking over at Becky several times to gauge the proper colors, and form he was painting. He was pleased to see he had managed to get the outline, while not perfect, it was still obviously his partner, and he began to finish the painting's beautiful red hair, using the carefully mixed paint in the paint trays beside him. Grinning Gadiel said, "I don't think that looks bad at all." He still needed to fill in the rest of the picture and he began carefully, once the lovely red hair was complete.

Lizzie quickly scooped up several paints nearby and set them down, busying herself with pouring paint and not bothering with a smock, grinning.

She grabbed a paintbrush and began painting her partner. She knew it wasn't going to turn out right as she had no artistic skill, her portrait came out looking more like a very chubby stick figure with short white hair. She began to dress the figure. Lizzie was the first person finished with the assignment and she sat back. "well....I do think it turned out rather well....for ME" she said, giggling softly at her ridiculous picture. She shook her brown hair and looked over at Kyren, hoping he wouldn't be offended by her lousy painting.

In all honesty it hadn’t surprised Emma that her best friend’s dad –Officer Nelson- wasn’t too fond of the rambunctious Wilder pack. And it certainly wasn’t the first time she’d heard of this, seeing as well over half of the Island population shared the same view point on the matter. Aside from the fact that Emma held the utmost respect for Robert Nelson, it went without saying that she was rather disappointed to hear that Chuck and his family were being profiled by someone she looked up to since she was a little girl.
“It’s alright, I understand.” Emma assured him with a soft smile. Just as she’d begun to lean in a bit closer to add a small kittenish remark their quiet conversation was cut short by Miss Goshe beginning with class instructions. Leaning back against the bare wall -a faint rosy hue circling her cheeks- Emma snuck a small glance in Chuck’s direction and smiled before turning her attention back towards the teacher.

Straightening up a look of apprehension claimed the young brunette’s expression; Emma watched a bit worried as Miss Goshe approached them in the midst of her explanation - a noticeable cup of vibrant pink paint in hand. Before she knew it her teacher had strode on past her slopping a heap of pink paint onto the side of her partner’s face. Wide-eyed Emma stared at Chuck for a few moments before bursting out into rare uncontrollable laughter. Holding herself up against the wall she managed to comment through her amusement, “Oh Chuck that is soooo your color! It’s so masculine! haha ~ ”

As Chuck led her best friend away Lena glanced back at Kyren understanding now why he seemed to be in such a stink. The Still’s sibling moods were polar opposites at the moment, Emma’s in twitter-pated state of mind while Kyren looked as though he was about to crawl into a great abyss of his bed covers and never return to world of light again! Chuckling to herself Lena decided to let it be……for now. Running her painted fingers over the wooden handles of the brushes laid out on the table she smiled at Chepe. “So are you ready to pose for my masterpiece?” She questioned looking him up and down. Biting at her lip she cocked an eyebrow at his attire. Clothing was definitely Lena’s forte when it came to drawing or sketching things…however Chepe’s effervescent yellow pants were a bit distracting- to say the least.

“Hmm or I should pose first…?” Placing her hand on her hip Lena winked modeling playfully shaking her wild curls from her face.

If Chuck had been the kind of guy to see the negative in everything, he'd have thought Miss Goshe was profiling him. But he could laugh at himself just as well as he could laugh at anyone else. In fact, he brushed back his long brown curls and struck a celebrity styled pose. "I know, Emma." He replied jokingly, "It's so macho!" Laughing, he shook his head and sent his hair bouncing with the motion. Some long, white fur fell off of him as he turned to pick up a nearby clean towel and wiped off the paint, but he didn't notice.

He had been sleeping with his door open most of the time, without giving it much thought. After all, with the exception of the bathroom door and the two door leading outside, the insider of the Wilder house had no doors. Privacy and modesty was practically unheard of in his family...for better or for worse. Everyone knew each others' business and that was totally okay with them. He didn't even stop to think that Chepe's sister's cat might wander in and take a nap on his clothes while he was asleep. In fact, he'd totally forgotten the kitten was there. Chuck took a good long look at Emma, enough to make most people uncomfortable, then turned and started trying to paint her.

Smiling at Lena, Chepe said, shaking his head sending the long hair in his face again, "It's your choice hun...I would be okay with painting you first if you want me to."

he realized she was staring at his....creative clothing and he chuckled, thinking that his bright yellow pants...were soon going to be immortalized on the classroom wall, to blind future students.

But, looking at his beautiful girlfriend, he thought how lucky the same students who would be passing through the school long after they were graduated and gone, would be to get to see the beautiful girl before him, every day. He knew he was a rather good artist and he was excited to be able to paint her. He watched her as her beautiful red hair danced around her face, her freckles making her look, if possible more beautiful. Tearing his attention away, he grinned playfully back at her. "so which is it? I paint you, or you paint me?" he was already looking at their spot on the wall.

Mina turned her head, and looked at the girl who had just greeted her. "hello" she said, carefully tossing her long, perfect ponytail behind her. Mina had already picked up one of the smocks, a relatively clean one and pulled it over her perfectly cared for clothing. "Yes..it does appear we are partners." she said with a well faked smile.

Mina really didn't care about making friends, she just wanted the class over with. Mina glanced over at Chepe before giving the girl her attention once again. "You must be Olivia?" she said smoothly. "My name is Minami. Most people call me Mina." she straightened her clothes, and said, "You may as well if you want to." Looking over at the paints, she said, "Shall we choose a spot and get started?"

"Hmph," Ah-Gyul sniffed, acknowledging his white-haired partner a little begrudgingly, though in agreement. Doing anything badly was not worth doing in the Korean's beliefs--and yet here he was, stuck in a class he neither cared for nor was good at. He painted his partner's profile in concentrated silence, using only a dark color on a very bristly, thick brush to create her image. He refused to use color, in the knowledge it would only further muddy a skill-less picture.

    Lorilynn stared.

    And she stared.

    And stared at her "portrait".

"Is... Is that supposed to be me?" Lorilynn started. She didn't know whether to laugh at his poor art skills or be offended. Was that really how he saw her? "No no no, that's way off. My hair is much longer, I'm not flat chested, I'm much more easier on the eyes... Is that really how you see me?" Lorilynn frowned. "And where is all the color? I'm not that pale. You didn't catch the essence of my beauty, not at all." She huffed, folding her arms.

A tad bit upset with her partner, Lorilynn finished her painting of Ah-Gyul satisfied with her beautiful work, she stood back to admire it.

Finished with her masterpiece in five minutes flat--a world record worthy of Van Gogh, pre-maiming--Rebecca signed her name with a proud grin and internal laugh.
Watching Gadiel as he painted her like one of his French girls, she couldn't help but observe the tomatoey essence so rarely found in depictions of her hair. And thinking of which, she crossed her arms over her stomach as it only made her hungrier--lunch with Lupe was less a lunch and more an episode of Fear Factor: Food Edition.

"So....hows' it?" the brunette asked casually with a broad, trademark grin. She gave the ninja artist a model pout and stuck her hip and nose out in a classique pose a la Prada. "The least you could do is get my nose right," she commented.

Gadiel grinned. "I love it!" he looked back at the painting on the wall she had done. "you made me less scary and more loveable looking in that painting." he really did like it.

He laughed to himself at Becky's comment...and the pose she struck, which did make her look like some sort of stuck up model. He thought it was funny, and he knew his wide grin would give it away. She did have a sense of humor. He loved that. "wellll...I can't make you look perfect can I?" he pushed his ponytail back over his shoulder again, as he finished up the painting.

Everyone seemed to be in such a cheery mood today; Kyren hated it. No matter, that wouldn't stop him from showing off his own sparkling personality. Grabbing the appropriate colors, as well as a few brushes, Kyren got busy with his own painting. This wasn't really new territory for him, but he was used to paper and liked the being able to outline with a pen or pencil before actually beginning to paint, but that didn't appear to be an option for today's class. Sighing, but determined to quit complaining, even if the complaints were only mental, he painted a rough outline of Lizzie's face, before refining it into a semi-decent representation of the girl. Kyren was never a fan of painting curly hair, so he sort of glossed over the details as fast as he could. The skin and nose were easy; the eyes less so. He left the mouth for last, wondering if he should make a statement and leave it off, expressing his desire for someone not so cheerful for a partner, but in the end, he just painted a closed lip. It was subtle enough, in his opinion. Sparing a glance at Lizzie's painting of himself, Kyren barely held back a snort. It was... a fascinating picture, to be sure.

He stared incredulously at Lorilynn in return.

"And is THAT supposed to be me?" Ah-Gyul quipped in response. "If we look at reality--mine's a much closer image to you. I don't have a beard or ....mustash? Especially not pink." The boy was baffled at his interpretation of his face, but took it simply as another challenge on the girl's part. He snorted and smirked. "I caught your 'essence' but you didn't do the same."
