Student Council Room

He had considered this over and over numerous times. The job seemed quite nerve wrecking, and he wasn't sure if he could manage it. Although the role of being the Student Council President was a marvelous achievement and looked wonderful on any college application, Andy just wasn't sure if he could do it. The principal had been pestering him about it for a while now, and Andy almost felt pressured. Surely he couldn't take on such a role, could he? Sighing, Andy rubbed his temple. He felt an oncoming headache with all his doubts and concerns. "I..." He began shakily, his gaze everywhere else but the principal. "I... While I am flattered that you chose me as Student Council President, I have to ask; Why me?" Andy explained all his concerns, especially about a certain brunette with round bifocals who was currently number one on the school's list of geniuses.

To Andy's surprise, the principal wanted to take a different course in action. After all, it would be just a tad bit unfair that the number one student got all the attention. After being reassured about all of his doubts and concerns, the blonde gave a sincere smile as he shook his principal's hand firmly. "Thank you very much for this opportunity, sir. I promise, I won't disappoint you in my time as Student Council President." And with that, Andy now played an important part in his school. Soon after the Principal's departure, Andy felt a bit lightheaded. "I really do hope I can do this..." He mumbled as he sank down in his chair, shuffling through some papers on the desk. It was going to be a very long school year.

It didn’t sit well with the feisty redhead that Lorilynn would have much rather stayed with Drewe. It wasn’t that she had lost out to a guy . . . it was that it had been him! I mean couldn’t anyone see through that lame façade of his…of course not - she hadn’t either until it was far too late. Shaking her head Lena headed down the deserted hallway hoping to clear her mind a little before actually looking for Emma. Being around that guy just seemed to put her in a bad mood, and although she knew she shouldn’t allow him to get under her skin like he had she couldn’t help it. Maybe if she just decked him once she’d feel better.

Cholena rounded the corner not paying much attention to where her feet were taking her until they lead her straight into an innocent bystander. Literally! Crashing into the unexpected person had thrown Lena off balance sending her to the floor onto her tush, a shower of paper fluttering down around her. Oh god! I ran straight into a teacher!! Lena’s mind scrambled as she began picking up the papers from the floor apologizing for not watching where she was going – until she realized she hadn’t barreled into instructor but another student.

Alright to say exactly what was going through Lena’s mind at the exact moment she caught sight of the student would be a bit foul mouthed. Seeing as the blonde haired boy looked exactly like a particular one she’d just left back with her friend in the cafeteria, the words she’d have chosen wouldn’t have been too friendly. “Oh God there is two off them…” Cholena mumbled to herself taking in the boy before her. There was definitely a noticeable difference between the two not only in the way they dressed but the looks on their face. Drewe’s was always so smug while this boy was anything but. Had there not been that difference she might have actually mistaken him for Drewe. “I’m sorry; I wasn’t watching where I was going.” Lena managed handing the stack of papers over. If she wasn’t taken by surprise she might have joked with him a little, in her normal playful manner.

At first, everything was fine. Andy was carrying a stack of student transfer papers to the main office, no big deal. Soon enough, there was a flash of red and crash; everything went flying! And the red flash was just a... student? Who wasn't very cautious. Actually, Andy didn't think he's even seen her in the school before. Was she new? A transfer even? Boy, Valevay was getting a lot of applicants this year, that's for sure.

Hearing her apology, Andy felt a bit sympathetic. "Oh, no. It's okay, honest." He spoke quietly, handling some of the parers himself. He was feeling more shy than anything else at that moment. The both of them probably looked funny, scrambling for papers on the ground. Andy hated looking funny. It didn't help his self-esteem in the long run.

Softly setting the stack of papers she’d collected in the doppelgangers outstretched hands, Lena’s got to her feet dusting off her sore bottom. Bruised ego coupled with a bruised buttocks this is shaping up to be one hell of a day! “So, what is all of this? Homework?” She asked nonchalantly bending down plucking up one of the loose papers from the tiled floor. All the while her curious blue eyes hadn’t left the poor boy who was still retrieving his scattered papers that she’d set flying moments ago. Tearing her eyes from him for a moment she glanced over the information in her hands. Hmm why would another student be carrying these around? It had only took her a moment to realize that the information sprawled out across the school hallway had been student profiles full of transcripts and records per child/young adult and there households. This definitely wasn’t something another student should be totting around…well not any normal student, that was for sure.

Holding the paper a bit out of the boys reach (which wasn't hard since he was still bent down picking up the last of his documents) Lena tilted her head to the side – her curls falling over her shoulders as she leaned slightly over him asking the question that’d been on her mind from the beginning. “Who exactly are you?” Short, to the point, yet lacking some delicacy....that was Lena for you.

Stacking the last of his papers, Andy gave a small sigh. Transferring all the original student files to the main office was quite a hard task; especially when you aren't given folders to keep them from getting scattered. Now he would have to file them in alphabetical order all over again. Glancing upwards, Andy realized that the redhead in front of him was taking a sneak peak at the documents.

Well, that was an understatement.

"H-hey," he started quietly. "You aren't supposed to-"

"Who exactly are you?"

Andy froze. He certainly wasn't expecting that. Not many people cared about who he was really. Shaking it off, he stood up, careful not to knock over the stack of papers on the floor. "Oh, I- uh, I'm Andy..." He spoke, timidly removing the hair from his eyes. It wasn't a sensible action since his gaze remained on the floor and not on the girl in front of him.

Now who did this boy remind me of again . . .?

Surely his looks were nearly identical to those of the obnoxious Drewe Pryde, but as the timid blonde in front of her stared aimlessly at the floor Lena couldn’t help but chuckle at how much he resembled someone whom was polar opposite from the infamous heartbreaker. From his shy demeanor down to glasses resting on the bridge of his nose . . . this boy Andy was similar to the exuberant redhead’s best friend -Emma Stills hmm, this kids probably a smarty pants too! Turning the paper over in her hands Lena kneeled down beside the stack of student files -Andy had left on the floor meticulously stacked- leaning forward slightly on the balls of her feet. Needless to say that her brilliant blue eyes ”wondered” over the top page of the pile before making their way up to capture the boy’s gaze. “Well Andy it’s a pleasure to meet you!” She said with a warm smile. Instead of introducing herself Lena’s curiosity pulled her back to the student files. “So, you must be pretty important around here to have these in your possession.” Her voice had been dripping with sarcasm as she lightheartedly teased him a bit. “You need any help with these? I can be on lookout for any redheads taking the corners too fast!”

Andy’s eyes met her bright cerulean ones and for a moment, he couldn’t avert his eyes. He took in her warm smile and friendly demeanor – but of course the feeling was becoming all too weird so he slowly turned his head away from her. Frankly, Andy could care less how friendly she was. She was in his bubble – which was installed with a huge diameter – and it made him a bit uncomfortable. “Pleasure,” the blonde mumbled before picking up the stack of papers carefully.

“I don’t need any help. I’m fine.” Andy was entrusted with a task, and he would prefer to do it on his own. He needed to work efficiently, diligently and quickly. Besides, idle chitchat with students weren’t on the top of his to-do list; especially ones as energetic as her. “Oh,” he started; a bit embarrassed he forgot his manners. “But thank you for your concern, um…” Oh right. He never asked for her name, had he?

Shot down….Did that really just happen? She certainly didn’t expect him to turn her down that fast. No matter how polite it was.
The feisty redhead had never allowed herself to be swept under the rug or turned away so easily, and she definitely wasn’t going to start today. Mr. Andy was going to accept her help since she so graciously offered it. He just didn’t know it yet…

“Okay if you really don’t need my help I guess me and…” Stopping for a moment Lena’s big blue eyes quickly scanned over the student file still in her possession until she found the name. “ Ah - Mr. Shin will go this way and get to know each other a little better!” Lena threatened waving the paper around as she headed down the hallway away from him. Surely he wouldn’t allow her too far away with such an important piece of student documents, but that hadn’t stopped her from slowing down before glancing back at the intriguing blonde, a mischievous smile occupying her lips.

Mr. Shin? What in the world was she talking about?

And then it clicked.

Andy watched her as she strutted down the hall with a very important piece of paper. This wasn't good! He just got appointed Student Council President! If anyone found out that a new student snagged an important document from him, he'd... Why he'd... He wouldn't know what to do! Feeling defeated, the blonde cried out to her, "Wait! Um, uh... I-I guess you could help me. I think I need all the help I can get anyway." he sighed. I guess someone can't take no for an answer... He thought. Still, if it would keep the mischievous redhead from running off with another student's personal info, he was willing to receive some "assistance".

Lena slowly came to a stop her lips curling into a triumphant smile. Brushing her curls away she strolled back down the empty hallway towards Andy a slight bounce to her step. The distant sound of the lunch bell echoing through the hallway warned the two that they would soon be joined by a flood of students on their way to their next class. Biting at her bottom lip Lena paid no mind to the bell she was having far too much fun toying with her new acquaintance. “You could have said please.” Lena quipped, relieving half of the stack of papers from him. Smiling innocently she waited for him to take the lead, “so where to?”

A tint of pink blush made it's way across Andy's cheeks as the exuberant redhead called him out on his manners. Saying "please" was the last thing on the blonde's mind after he had been forced to receive aid from the girl. Sighing Andy said, "The Main Office is this way. Follow me." He was definitely going to be late to his next class, and Andy was never late! At least to important events he wasn't. "Umm.." the blonde started uneasily. "You're going to be late to your next class. You do realize this, right?"

“Punctual” was never really part of Lena’s vocabulary; however Emma was sure to inform her that Valevay enforced a strict policy on truancies and tardiness. With that in mind the vibrant redhead had yet to be late to class, but no matter how high-status the school she knew she could slip by with it once or twice. Reaching the main office Lena –backing up into the door- nonchalantly used her tush to swing it wide open for her and Andy to enter. “I highly doubt that.” Lena started as the two made their way past the office ladies, who seemed all too interested in the duo over their own dull paperwork. Their beady little eyes following the student’s movements, waiting for something that might satisfy their need for a new topic they could sit around and greedily gossip about later. Well, why not help make it a juicy story then?! Lena thought as the corner of her lips curved into a devious smile. Following rather closely behind Andy the redhead leaned forward her curls spilling over his shoulder while whispering into his ear. Taking a moment Lena sent a naughty wink in the women's direction before following Andy into the next room promptly shutting the door with her foot. ~

“You seem so sure of yourself when you say that I’m going to be late. Care to wager on that?” Lena was rather confident in herself as she had whispered in Andy’s ear. Why wouldn’t she? She had run track back at MVB for two years and definitely had speed on her side. It would probably be close, but Lena figured she could make it back to class before the last bell, so why not make it interesting?

Her soft voice laced with determination sent a shiver up Andy's spine. She was waaaaaaaay too close, and the ladies up front were giving the two of them looks. Looks meant attention and that was something Mr. Pryde wasn't too keen on. After setting his stack of papers onto the table, he turned to the redhead, a frightened look on his flushed face. "Wh-why would you do that!?" Andy cried, panicking a bit. Did this girl know no boundaries!? What if the ladies started gossiping about it to the rest of the staff? Everyone would be giggling about it... Then he though of Dani! If Dani knew, school would never be the same for him! He could see it now:

"Extra, extra! Read all about it! Student Council President finally in a relationship!?" Dani's voice rang in his head.

He could just die.

Coming back to his senses, he remembered the girl in front of him said something about a wager. A wager... What could he possibly wager? Well, if it'll get her out of here and fast, fine. "If you... If you can get to class on time I... I won't object to your assistance for a month." It was the best Andy could come up with at the moment. Besides, she wasn't really going to make it to her next class, why trouble his brain with such trivial matters?

Andy’s panicked cry sent Lena into a fit of giggles that carried out the closed door in muffled amusement. This boy was so…so….innocent! The smallest movement the devious redhead made seemed to stir up some quite entertaining discomfort in her new "friend"…Which in turn only made Lena want to prod at the poor blonde’s obvious uneasiness. Gaining some composure Lena’s laughter subsided as she leaned against the closed door a slender hand resting on the silver handle, in case he made it worth her wild to make a hasty exit.

“Oh please at least make it worth my effort!” Lena complained, if anyone was going to be setting the wager it was going to be her – and because he had jumped the gun with his offer Lena had the perfect arrangement in mind. “Well since you’re so eager for my help I guess we can keep that in this little gamble, BUT on top of that you’ll owe me one! Whenever….wherever ….and whatever I need you for, you have to be there!” Lena stated, her gaze never once wandering off from Andy’s. Sensing that he’d most likely turn her request down the cop’s daughter was quick to set out the bait, “Then again I can I always miss art and just hang around here during class! Since you know, you really wanted my help and all!”

Of all the things the blonde had heard in his short lifetime, that wager had to be one of the asinine. Andy cringed slightly, before giving out a sort of annoyed sigh. "Ugh, you've got to be kidding me! You can't not give me a specific place or span of time in which you want something! And you can't just --" he would have continued on, but the vibrant redhead cut him off.

“Then again I can I always miss art and just hang around here during class! Since you know, you really wanted my help and all!”

"N-no!" he blurted out. Honestly, what was going on through her head? Andy wasn't sure if he even wanted to know. With a forced smile, Andy spun the ever so talkative girl around, his hands on her shoulders as he lead her to the door. "I think I'll take you up on that offer, sure. If you really want to win that bet, you should really get going, don't you think? I think so. Okay, it was fun, thanks for all your help! HavefuninclassBYE!" And with that, he gently pushed her out of the door  and slammed it shut. With a sigh of relief, Andy slid down to the floor and bought his knees to his chest. Finally, she was out of his hair for now. Just who was that girl anyway? Andy sure hadn't seen her before... and he wasn't sure if he wanted to see her ever again! Was it still too late to transfer schools?
