This Roleplay takes place within the sandy white shores of Rai Island, which is located in the American territory of the vast Atlantic Ocean. Rai Island is known worldwide for its remarkably brilliant boarding school, Valevay High. The students that attend and manage to survive its rigorous courses and earn a diploma are highly sought after for their knowledge and talent, seeing as only the most gifted and intelligent students graduate with their class. Aside from Valevay there are a number of schools your character can attend (from primary to college) located throughout the island! Keep in mind you need more than books smarts to survive Rai Island. You’ve got to be strong-willed and able to handle yourself in tough situations… not all the island dwellers are neighborly; it does have its handful of ruffians. Keep your head up, your wits sharp, and most of all have fun!

Sorry for the delay but "Mr. Rodeo" had too much personality for just one month! Anyways lets kick him to the curb now and welcome our newest and most anticipated character, Mr. Moody himself,

True this young man is rather rough around the edges. Far from your "friendly" average highschooler. Secluding himself majority of the time Kyren immerses his attention and talent into his sketchbook. However his stoic aura is shaken only when his adorkable little sister, Emma is in his presence! If your lucky (very very very lucky) when she shows up you may even see him crack a smile. And who knows he may even have a smile that makes girl's swoon! But it's usually gone just a quickly as it appeared.

Okay, lets just get it out of the way and say this boy has an undeniable sister complex! Unwavering in fact! After loosing their father at a young age Kyren promised to protect her in his Dads place. He spends the majority of his time making sure Emma is happy and healthy! Also for her own good he battles to keep the Samo strays far away from her. Now Kyren isn't ALWAYS, as his creator may claim, a Drama King! He can be very compassionate and more than willing to treat you as family if he finds you trustworthy and you become close enough with him.

So, some advice when crossing paths with this eyeliner wearing teen. Keep your loud antic to yourself they certainly don't impress him (just ask Lena)! Keep sugar out of his reach, it makes his do very very bad things! ;) && Don't and I mean DON'T touch his sister!
Follow these simple rules, and you might survive!

Okay, so we know that over the past several months there has been very little activity in the roleplay! But really that wasn't the intial point in creating this forum in the first place.
Rai Island is what brought us all together. It's our home away from home, so to speak! We are not just a Forum full of gifted and creative writers . . . however a place full of wacky and crazy friends ;)
A place where we are creating unforgettable memories!

Even though we are constantly changing and still knee deep in finding ourselves in the world; we know that through the tears that fall and the smiles that grace our faces we will always have each other! Because no matter where our lives take us, nothing will change so much that we are not all friends still!

&& We will always have RaiIsland to come back to! Our Island ♥

    Emma is rather small, standing at around 5’2 and that’s only when she happens to be wearing heels! Growing up on Rai Island has given her skin a slight tan that is softer than most of the Island dwellers, due to the fact that she spends a great deal of time in the public library –out of the sun- Inheriting her mother’s wavy caramel brown locks which hang right below her shoulder blades; it’s a rare occurrence when Emma does not have them in loosely tied pigtails. Due to horribly awful vision her deep brown doe eyes are generally hidden behind a pair of black framed bifocals. Without them she is blind as a bat!
    Emma’s wardrobe consists of casually straight-laced garments and footwear that normally adds an inch or two to her lack of height. There is almost always the company of a novel or two clutched in her arms and an ever present blush staining her cheeks when she in the presence of Chuck Wilder. <3


    Personality: Emma tends to be terribly shy taking her awhile to open up with the new people. However, once you’ve accomplished getting her out of her shell she is friendly, surprisingly witty, and often a tad bit stubborn. Seeing as Emma was never the athletic type, she would much rather spend her days in the library surround by books. With her head in the clouds she is dreamer and like most girl’s a hopeless romantic. Emma normally flies under the radar since there isn’t much about her that stands out. She doesn’t have any real talents; her biggest redeeming feature being her Intelligence. Emma is extremely smart and determined… if she puts her mind to something, you better believe she will accomplish it.


    Background: Emma grew up in the Uran district, and although it's considered a low end and poor neighborhood her family was actually financially well off. Both the Still's held well paying jobs and had two of the brightest and considerably well-behaved children. They were your perfect little "American" family. But things don't stay perfect for long . . .when Emma turned 6 tragedy shook their life. Mr. Stills became extremely sick and his wife was holding onto to every last moment she had with her husband, until that fateful day she no longer could and he was eventually gone. Heartbroken with the loss Mrs. Stills did what she could to raise her children alone. Though the three of them were still a very tight-knit family they began to struggle. Latching onto her brother - the only father like figure in her life - Emma focused on school and doing what she could around the house to make things easier on her Mom. Without their father she still managed to have a decent childhood thanks to Kyren and Lena, the feisty redhead that moved in next door. It took a lot of the worry off Emma's mind, and over the years her brother managed to somehow keep the two girl's alive and out of most trouble! Now if only he could get them her through high school in one piece!

    With a small waist, curvy hips, and soft complexion Lena is a rather strikingly beautiful young lady. Taking after her father’s side of the family she stands at a height of five-foot seven inches, towering over her own mother. Stature wasn’t the only thing Lena inherited from her dad; she was also "blessed" with his fiesty attitude and spontaneous nature! Though Lena took mostly after her father she was born with her mother's fire engine red hair which falls midway down her back in elegant rolling curls. With hair like that it is near impossible to lose her in a crowd. Her eyes are a dark shade of blue, and there is a prominent trace of freckles trailing over the bridge of her nose.

    Lena’s style is her own. Literally, almost everything she wears is designed and made by her own two hands. Being on the lower end of “middle class” the Nelson’s couldn’t afford the beautiful high-fashion clothes that caught their young daughter’s eyes at Amore Mall, so she took things into her own hands hand-making every piece of her very own wardrobe. One accessory Lena makes sure never to leave home without is her pearly white smile!


    Personality: Lena tends to be very outspoken and is known to have a sharp tongue, saying what’s on her mind whenever she feels that her opinion is worth something, which is always. Far from being the shy type Lena is always looking for new fun and exciting ways to add a little bit of excitement to her island life. Spontaneous and honestly a bit of an attention hog she likes to relish in spotlight, and although there is an underlining insecurity fueling this behavior she tends to be very approachable and friendly. If you think you can keep up with her she will be more than happy to show you a good time.


    Background: As a child Lena was conflicted with the feelings from her parents. Being told on a daily basis how much she was loved, Lena eventually started paying more attention to their actions rather than the words they spoke. Seeing as they were extremely busy with the hustle and bustle of the working life on the Island, she never truly felt important to either of them. Having significant positions in community of Rai Island, Lena’s parents left her alone the majority of her childhood at a local Vepigo Daycare “Little Learners”. Around the age of seven they moved into the Uran District to be closer to her father’s work. That day she met her closest and irreplaceable friend, Emma Stills. The two of them were quiet the trouble makers more so Lena than Emma – who was normally an innocent bystander in all of Lena’s crazy antics. But Emma had become the little voice in the back of the spontaneous redhead’s mind -that she never seemed to have- which would repeat over and over in dire situations…this is a really really bad idea! Although Lena normally didn’t heed the warnings of that sweet little voice, Emma stayed by her side making unforgettable memories. The Stills siblings saved Lena from her loneliness and had become like an extended family to her.

    Personality: If you looked up the word arrogant in the dictionary, you’d find Drewe’s picture there. Drewe started out as a fundamentally well-mannered child who respected women, and overtime morphed into -to his mother’s horror- his father! Thinking he is somewhat of a ladies man Drewe relies souly on his good looks to get free passes in life. Both clever and charismatic he is good at finessing people to get what he wants. His handsome face and lively personality will reel you in, but don’t let him fool you! His cunning tongue and will spout out lies and drown you in compliments to “secure” his reward. Lacking any proper parental guidance Drewe has settled under the false belief that he is free to do as he pleases - - enjoying himself to his heart’s content.


    Background:     Drewe was born a twin, the younger brother by mere minutes to his brother Andy. Inseparable as toddlers everything changed when their parents divorced, their mother taking Andy and Drewe staying with their father…Only catching glimpses of his brother on the small Island community (a little blonde child skipping merrily along with him)  Drewe’s bitterness slowly turned to hatred, and although by high school they were both attending Valevay neither of them would speak a word to the other.


    ~Like father like son…A horrible role-model and pathetic excuse for a father, Jonathon Pryde was never home. When he wasn’t caught up at work he bar hopping in search for that night’s “lucky lady”. The only reason he fought over custody for Drewe was so that he could have something that Rachel (The former Mrs. Pryde) wanted and loved dearly, selfishly keeping her forever linked to him. Growing up in his father’s care -or lack thereof- he picked up the man’s worst qualities; taking advantage of girl’s young tender hearts including that of Rai Island’s very own red headed beauty Cholena Nelson.

    Personality: The dynamic and sparkling Dani walks to the beat of her own drum. An advocate for the truth and honestly anything happening within the walls of Valevay, Dani is the first to try and get in on the scoop. Ultimately she is a very ambitious and bold, and the word fear is not in her vocabulary. She will go to any length for her next story never taking “no comment” as an answer. Dani is the type of girl to act first - think later …her curiosity always getting the best of her, which tends to get her into some pretty sticky situations. But with the help of her trusted sidekick (Photographer Gary) there has yet to be a story too big for them to handle.


    Background: In the Thompson household the name Drewe had only been whispered a few times - never reaching the ears of Danielle, leaving her oblivious to the fact that her big brother Andy was actually a twin. The fact that the former Mrs. Pryde couldn’t secure custody of both her sons deeply wounded her, and after many failed attempts to see him she finally focused on being the best mother she could for Andy and Danielle. After an awkward encounter with Drewe at the Amore Mall, Dani’s whole world was flipped upside down. She had questioned everything from then on, even to the extent of her mother and father being her real parents. The neighborhood had an ongoing joke that Dani had become their friendly neighborhood Sherlock~ sparking Dani’s passion for Journalism. Upon entering Valevay Dani joined the school newspaper itching to get down and dirty uncovering the secrets within its walls.


    ~Her Trustee Photographer - - When it comes to technology you can say that Dani is lacking knowledge…immensely. For her 12th birthday her parent’s bought her a rather expensive camera. To her it was a machine far out of her capabilities – she didn’t know the first step of operating it. Losing her patience rather quickly, Dani resorted to yelling at it while banging it on the floor repeatedly. Thankfully a classmate (Gary Winters) had stopped her before she could cause too much damage. Although horrified at her actions Gary began to slowly show her how to use it properly. Amazed at how well his pictures came out Dani wasn’t going to let him or his talents slip through her fingers. Seizing the opportunity -literally- Dani insisted that he become her personal photographer! The two of them getting some unforgettable situations.
