The Surprise for Emma

Chepe was sitting on the couch in the boys' dorm room, waving his fingers above Angel's head, chuckling softly as the puppy wildly attempted to catch his fingers in her mouth, her silky ears flying around her head, growling softly and snipping at him. he leaned closer to her, his long, black hair falling forward and brushing against her head. at the feel of the hair, Angel did what any puppy would do and latched on. in the middle of the fight to release his hair from the pup's mouth, Chepe's phone rang.

he leaned over, the puppy not giving up her prize, being dragged slightly sideways as he reached for his phone, which was on the arm of the couch. hitting the speak button, he laughed and said "Angel, let go!" before greeting the caller. He listened for a minute as the voice of his friend came through..."you know I still have a male puppy from the litter Angel was from. He's a really cute dog and smart too..I need to find a home for him. He's just getting a bit big and it's hard to find a home for a bigger pup. the tiny ones always go first." he went on explaining to chepe and, finally succeeding in getting his hair from the puppy, Chepe leaned back against the couch and fell into a conversation with his friend.

The puppy he was told, was identical to Angel except didn't have the white spot she did. As Chepe leaned forward, readjusting himself to pat angel, a soft, white paw poking from under the far side of the couch caught his eye. He'd been wondering where Airie had gotten to. For that matter, he wondered why his sister hadn't been by recently. Chepe turned his attention back to the call.."I have an idea" he said, remembering Emma's reaction when she had first seen angel, He wondered how she would like a puppy of her own, as he heard the water running n the bathroom. He knew chuck would soon be coming out. His showers never were that long. "hang on just a second, don't hang up..I bet we'll have a home for that puppy soon." Chepe reached down and poked Airie's paw playfully and she spat at him, trying to catch his finger, glaringat him from under the couch, her two colored eyes shining in the darkness before he leaned back to wait for Chuck to finish.

The steady hiss of the water filled the bathroom as hot water snaked over the bassist's short, but solidly built, muscular body. His voice sang out a melody, echoing slightly off the walls and he scrubbed his body clean in a scant few minutes. As soon as he was done, he slid open the glass shower door, shut off the water and stepped out of the shower without bothering to even shake any of the water from his form. Water splashed all over the floor as he crossed the bathroom and dug into the closet for a towel.

Upon finding a large, fluffy white towel, Chuck ran it over his long curly hair a couple times, then tossed it onto the counter. Without another thought, he grabbed the rumpled pair of loose jeans he'd brought in and pulled them on, despite having not dried his face or body at all. The weather this September was really odd, but if it meant he could get away with wearing fewer clothes, he was all for it - humidity included. Eventually, he dragged a brush through his tangled mass of curly, dark hair and brushed his teeth, hanging the towel 'carefully' back up...by flinging it over the shower door.

Whipping open the bathroom door, the tanned teenager sauntered out of the bathroom, a thinning trail of watery footprints behind him. They'd evaporate in a few minutes anyway. Spotting his pal Chepe on the couch with his puppy biting his hair, Chuck decided to head over and join them, walking barefoot around the couch without realizing there was something white and furry beneath it.

Chepe looked up as Chuck came into the room. "hey," he said grinning as Angel repeated her attempts at his hair. Patting her, he moved his hand up her shoulders until he was scratching under her pastel pink collar, before he leaned back again. The white furball under the couch was watching chuck's approach carefully, her eyes bright as her long silky white tail twitched behind her, her ears were perked forward waiting for the right time to pounce. The small white body was tensed and ready, her muscles coiled and ready to spring into action. she was completely silent as her sharp claws were unsheathed under the long soft fur of her feet.

As Chuck moved around the couch, Angel spotted him..and abandoning Chepe's hair, she leaped up, banging her head against the couch. Her face registered surprise for only moments before she let out a shrill bark and leaped into the air, as she made a mad dash toward one of her favorite people, her smooth ears flopping over her eyes, pink tongue hanging out of her mouth, as she gave Chuck one of her toothy, happy puppy smiles that showed her teeth. She pressed her soft head against the highest part of him she could, not caring that she was getting water dripped on her. Chepe laughed at his puppy's actions and giving a careless wave with his phone, decided he'd see if Chuck had noticed emma with Angel over the past few months, how she had grown closer to the chubby puppy. Speaking into his phone again, he said "he's here now..just a minute ok?"

He ran one hand through his long hair, as it fell back into his eyes yet again he said "Have you noticed how much Emma seems to like Angel? She seems to have gotten close to her since she's been around her so much." Chepe covered his phone with one hand and asked, "What would you think of getting her a puppy? My friend that my parents got Angel from still has Angel's brother, and she just wants to give him to a good home. someone that will love him you know? First person that came to mind was Emma, because she's so good with Angel." Chepe looked toward where Angel snuggled her head against his best friend's leg. "He's the last in the litter and her parents are telling her either she find him a home or he goes to the local pound."

Meanwhile Airie was inching closer to Chuck..intent upon her prey, which consisted of the leg almost directly in front of her. The movement was irrisistible to her and she pounced, wrapping her front paws around the ankle, digging her claws in and leaning her head back and opening her mouth wide, and laying her ears back playfully bit the back of his ankle, purring loudly. she sank her sharp claws into his leg and scooted rapidly up his leg till she reached his knee, her tiny sharp claws creating pinpricks of blood dotting his calf. at the feel of the wet skin she sharply stopped and dropped back down, gingerly shaking one sodden paw after the other, looking up at him accusingly, as her tail moved agitatedly behind her as she began cleaning the water off her feet, using her rough pink tongue. She looked up at him, flicking her fluffy white ears, her purr quite loud. She blinked her odd colored eyes and meowed softly
