Art Class, Miss Goshe

Miss Goshe walked around the classroom making sure all the supplies were out so the students returning from lunch would have access to them. She put paintbrushes near all the paint containers on the table. She made sure that she put out enough of each color so that each group of students would have their own to use. She carefully arranged newspapers on the floor, completely covering the entire surface. She then double checked the paints to make sure she had, in fact set out the washable paints.

She tacked up a list of the partners for that day's class on the wall so they would see it as soon as they arrived. This list showed each student's partner, which were listed as follows:

Miss Goshe brushed her long brown hair out of her eyes as she surveyed the room. She moved papers around on her desk as she waited for the students so that she could explain that day's activity. Sitting at her desk, she had had all the desks moved temporarily out of the room so that they would have room to move as they painted.

Lissa pushed open the classroom door and went inside. She saw that the artroom teacher was the same teacher that had been their PE teacher and she grinned. She knew this class would be fun.

Lissa's attention was caught by the bright pink paper taped to the wall. When she saw her partner for whatever they were doing in the class she smiled. She noticed all the paint buckets on the only table in the room. All the desks had been removed and She wo0ndered exactly what was going to be done. She went to stand near the teacher since she was her listed partner, and she greeted Miss Goshe.

Lizzie excitedly entered the room. her twin sister a little ways behind her. Lilly was hoping she could make friends more her type than lizzie's friends were.

Lizzie looked around, taking in the appearance of the room and all the paint on the table. Lizzie loved painting...but she wondered what they were going to paint, since she didn't see any paper to paint on. She immediately checked the list on the wall and quickly found her name and her partner's name on the page and she sat on the edge of the paint table to wait for the other students. Lizzie smoothed down her short bright green shorts and ran her fingers through her curled pigtails, grinning. After school she planned to remove the pigtails from her hair and change into one of her favorite dresses. She hoped to get to know some of her classmates better.

Mina used one perfect hand to open the door of the classroom. Entering, she kept her head up, and surveyed the class like she was the only one that meant anything. She tapped her nails on her leg as she walked over to the list and checked it.

She found her name and the name of the girl who was to be her partner. Why did they need partners in an art class anyway? She would have rather had a boy as a partner, and she couldn't help but notice that Lena had gotten extremely lucky with her partner. She wondered just how often someone could be as lucky. She allowed a very ugly expression indeed to cross her face, before she turned to face the teacher. Yes, Mina was jealous, and she would never admit it. She was still offended at the carelessness with which Chepe had treated his gift from her as well.

At that moment two girls walked in the room, a pretty brunette that Mina knew, who was chepe's friend from california Keylee, and a blonde that she did not know.

Rebecca had left Lupe behind at MVB grudgingly. She would have much preferred ditching the rest of the day, but oh well.

The brunette slipped into the room pretty carelessly--literally, she nearly slipped on the newspapers lying out on the floor, but caught herself. She found herself checking the wall like everyone else and standing by her name, scrawled next Halwe's, who she assumed was her partner for something. With all the paint and everything--she....Rebecca was going to have to paint? What the hell--I have zero artistic skill! I'm screwed! Why did senior-level classes have to include art at Valevay? Rebecca would have much preferred shop or something--even Van Buren had that.
Crossing her arms in frustration, anticipation, and/or hesitation, the Clemens girl leaned her back against the wall to wait for her partner or class, whichever happened to come first.

Gadiel went into Art class, and closing the door behind him, he took a quick look around the room. There were already a few people there and the teacher as well, who he recognized as Miss Goshe. She was their Art teacher too? He noted the papers all over the floor, and the missing desks.

He wondered what they were going to be doing, and he figured from the paint on the table and the papers on the floor that they were going to be painting. He ran a hand absently through his long red ponytail. Seeing the bright piece of paper on the wall he went over and found his name. Apparently he would have a partner for this class. He thought he recognized the name, and he turned to search for her. Gadiel did enjoy painting a little but he wasn't the greatest artist. He could do well when he had plenty of time to complete it though. Seeing Rebecca leaning against the wall, he spoke to her. "Hello. " he said. "I guess we're partners for whatever Miss Goshe has planned."

"Halwe!" Rebecca called out, recognizing the distinct firetruck-hair. She waved at him from her position against the wall. "Right here." At the sight of him, Rebecca's senses prompted the memory of the previous night's conversation with Carson. So Carson liked the guy? Or had it just been awkward? She could not recall the exact exchange from before, and because of that, unintentionally scrutinized Gadiel's face as she searched for some clue.
Breaking out of her short thoughts--as in, only a moment between wave and scrutiny had really passed-- she responded in the affirmative. "Yup, I guess."
Well....the affirmative, yes, detail not so much.

Gadiel smiled, very relaxed, and said "I'm kind of looking forward to class. With Miss Goshe being our teacher for this one, I can see it being pretty fun." He noticed her looking closely at him and chose not to mention it. Instead he said, "I'm not the best artist unless I have plenty of time, then my paintings look decent...it appears she plans to go some kind of painting today." He chuckled a little. Gadiel didn't mind making fun of himself, though it didn't mean he lacked confidence.

"No, really? I thought we were gonna make paper snowflakes with all of this stuff," Rebecca responded facetiously. "I'm not the best artist, squat. Seriously, like if you want anything to look like anything from me, you're screwed over. Might wanna change groups." She shrugged and laughed.

Her last venture into art had been when, in an attempt to draw Freddy, Carson had asked her what the pig was doing with a cat's claws. And that was in about 7th grade. Rebecca could only imagine what grotesque creations might occur now--but creepy was only cool when she wanted it to be that way.

Waving goodbye to her new - and very charming - friend she'd made at lunch, Lorilynn walked into class, taking in all her surroundings. Newspapers on the floor, paints all over the place, no desks; Yes. Lorilynn had a feeling she was going to really love this class.... not. Stepping carefully on the newspaper, she made her way to the list of names on the wall, her eyes skimming down the list until she finally saw her name. So, we have partners too... She thought, staring at Ah-Gyul's name momentarily. She couldn't match the name with the face, but she supposed she'd know who he was when he walked in. Claiming a spot next to one of the pink paints, she stood there patiently, waiting for class to start.

A little sad that his peace would be disrupted for now, Kyren couldn't help but debate skipping class. However, art was one of the two reasons he had been accepted to this school, and he couldn't risk the possibility of getting kicked out, for Emma, or for himself. About 5 minutes before the end of lunch, he had scrambled to get ready, changing into a forest green T-shirt and a standard pair of black pants.

And here he was now, about to enter the classroom, hoping that class would go by without too much trouble. Noticing the extremely attention grabbing piece of paper posted on the wall as he entered the doorway, Kyren walked over to it curiously, noticing out of the corner of his eye that the teacher was the same one as before. Scanning the list, he read his partner's name, but had absolutely no clue who it was. Shrugging, he turned around and left to grab an empty seat in the room; he was sure the teacher would assist them once class had started.

Gadiel grinned. "It doesn't matter to me, and I don't have a problem sticking with you." He really had no intention of sticking Becky without a partner for whatever painting project the teacher had planned. He laughed as well, liking her sense of humor.

Gadiel always loved drawing but he wasn't always patient enough to do a good job. But sometimes he actually wanted to do well, and right now he hoped that whatever was expected of them wouldn't look too stupid when he was done.

Today Miss Goshe had been pushing Emma far out of her element and into thick of unknown territory…first Gym and now Art?! Granted Emma wasn’t a complete failure in the subject….she just had her own flair when it came to artistic talent, and let’s admit her stick figures were a hit with the younger kids!

Treading lightly over the paper covered floor, Emma lingered at the bright list of pairs posted on the wall. Running her index finger through the names she stopped at the first Stills near the top of the paper; Kyren Stills and Lizzie Saee. Hmm, who is Lizzie Saee…? Racking her brain to match a face to the name, Emma’s gaze swept the about the desk free classroom until it landed on the set of Saee twins. She couldn’t quite place which was which, however she had sinking feeling that the one with the creative choice in ostentatious garments answered to Lizzie. This could go two ways; and in Emma’s mind neither of them were very good…and she hoped she was wrong! Shaking away the negative thoughts running wild, the small brunette turned her attention back to the names searching for the second listed Stills. Aha! Well well, today was her lucky day. Her partner being none other than Chuck Wilder…

Arriving to class –lost in conversation- with her lunch date mate, Olivia hadn’t taken notice of the newspapers covering the entirety of the Art Room…that was until they got the better of her. Being rather clumsy as it was, the papers littering the ground had been no help keeping the Aussie on her feet. Her only saving grace was her immediate reflex to reach out and grab the nearest thing –happening to be an arm belonging to Ah-Gyul - keeping her from landing ass first on the floor. A surprised yelp escaped her lips as she tried to regain her balance. “Oy! That could have turned out bad…” Olivia mumbled to herself unaware that she was still clinging onto Ah-Gyul’s arm.

A pair of dark brown eyebrows shot up in surprise as Chuck strolled down the hallway, his distinctive blue eyes catching sight of the Austrailian girl nearly playing butt-cheek bombadier with her own rump. Shaking his head, he bit off the last of the apple in his hand and considered helping her. The Korean boy seemed to have it under control though, so he simply went around them and into the classroom, biting the apple core in half and chewing it up.

So, art class...right? What the hell is goin' on with all the newspaper on the floor? He walked by something that was hanging on the wall, completely missing what it was. Then, noticing that several of his classmates were paired up, he went back and looked at the wall, realizing he'd missed some kind of list. Oops. Oh, who gave a shit? He was looking at it now and that's what mattered, right? Partners...for art class? Is that an invitation to slack off or what? Oh, Emma's my partner...I'd better try not to suck at art too much. After all, you can't be good at everything.

Chuck walked over to Emma and gave her a warm smile. "Hey Emma, ready to do some...art...stuff?" He chuckled.

“Of course! I am ready for some art stuff !” Emma’s response was lighthearted and although she hadn’t been overly excited about painting, as long as she was with Chuck she was sure he’d find a way to make it memorable. . “I’m not sure what we are supposed to be doing. I see the paints, but what exactly does she plan to have us paint?” She questioned, not really expecting Chuck to know the answer. Glancing around the class a second time Emma’s pierced her lips in thought, her button nose scrunching a little –her thinking face- what was Miss Goshe planning? They were paired up…and there was no paper in sight, were they painting on…..each other??? The thought brought a deep blush to Emma’s face. No! Of course not…that would be soo…no!

Lena skidded into the classroom out of breathe sending loose newspapers fluttering out across the floor, barely making it seconds before the late bell rang. “Booyah! I made it!” She exclaimed rather proud of herself. Pfft! And he thought I was going to be late! I showed him! Brushing her loose curls from face she raised an eyebrow at the mess of paper about her feet. Oops! Tip toeing over them she gently set her roses down on the table, containing paint buckets.

After a sweeping glance of everyone in the room, Lena approached the pink LOOK AT ME paper posted on the wall. Seeing that she was partnered with Chepe brought a smile to her face. This would be fun! Art was her specialty! She happened to be very talented at sketching, although garments more than anything else. She had enjoyed her art class back at MVB, and hopefully Valevay wouldn’t squash that passion for her.

Looking around the class Lena wondered where Chepe was at. She was excited to get started, and didn’t care what they were doing. With them being partnered together she knew they’d have a great time.

What were they supposed to paint?

Chuck had no idea. He shrugged and shook his head at Emma. "I don't know what we're supposed to be painting, but I'm not really the greatest at art. Keith is the artist in our family, but I can sure help you make a mess." He chuckled, amusement evident in his voice, "I'm pretty good at that. And I know it'll be fun making that mess with you." A little light of mischief danced in his eyes and he was leaning close enough to Emma that she could see faint lines encircling the irises of his eyes - contact lenses. Though Chuck had a habit of invading people's personal space, most people didn't look too closely to realize he wore contacts. He never said anything about vision problems either.

Chepe quickly slipped through the door to the classroom. Realizing it was art class he watched his step carefully as he walked across the newspapers, his own guitar over his shoulder and the black one held in his hand. His yellow jeans were almost blinding in the bright lights of the room. He looked around and noticing most of his classmates were there, he looked over at the wall. What was that horrible piece of pink paper? He walked over to it and read it, his black hair falling into his eyes. Hmmm it appeared to be a list. Chepe ran his index finger down the list, lightly touching the paper, and not having to go far before he found his name.

He was a little surprised to find his partner just happened to be his girlfriend. What were the odds on THAT happening? Was Miss Goshe some kind of mind reader? He was rather pleased at having Lena as a partner though. He had always been a pretty good artist, though he couldn't say he was perfect at it.
He stepped back and looked around, taking note of where the other classmates were.

Seeing Lena, he quickly joined her near the paint table and slipping the guitars underneath of it. "Hey Lena." he said, smiling. "I see we're partners for this.....whatever it is we're doing." he laughed a little, gesturing at all the paint buckets. "It'll be fun, anyway. I love painting...there doesn't appear to be any paper around here though."

Just then Miss Goshe called out, "everyone find your partners. We are doing painting today. Each set of partners find a place on the wall. and stand there. I will tell you what our project is once you are all in place." She quickly took note of the students who had not yet found their partners and she began pointing them in the direction to go. Soon everyone had found their partners. "If you have anything that you don't want to get paint on, please put it under the table holding the paint." She said with a smile. We have a fun class planned." As an offhand comment, she said, "The paint is washable so no need to worry if it gets on your clothes."

Slipping a strong arm behind Olivia's back in reaction to her sudden near-fall, Ah-Gyul set her straight but couldn't resist a trademark smug grin. Noticing she still clung to his arm, his eyes glinted as he quipped teasingly, "You can't stand being apart from me this much?" He leaned down and blew in her ear lightly.
His teasing done for the moment, he separated himself to look over a list.

Lorilynn? An odd name. Hopefully whichever person this name belonged to wouldn't mind his zero art skill and as such near-zero effort. The tall Korean clicked his tongue in annoyance. Why was he even registered for such a useless course? The boy stood near his strawberry-blonde friend uselessly as he didn't feel like asking any who might know who this Lorilynn person was, and Olivia wasn't going to know either, even thought he'd been instructed to find him or her.

"Excuse me, Miss Goshe. I have a question." Lorilynn spoke, raising her hand slightly. Her eyes narrowed at the brunette before her as she tried to formulate her thoughts as best as she could in her mind. "You said we should put anything we don't want paint on, underneath the tables. I don't want paint on anything I own, so what am I supposed to do? Paint naked?" Folding her arms, Lorilynn could definitely see the smirks and grins on her peer's faces, but she wasn't telling a joke. She didn't care if the paint was washable. Paint on her lavish, 200 dollar dress? No thank you.

Kneeling down near the end of the table Lena slid her roses beneath it to keep them from being trampled on. Although this was Art class and she hadn’t expected much of a rambunctious session, Miss Goshe was there teacher and you couldn’t be too positive that you would make it out of class….”clean” Pulling herself up on her feet –with a little help from the edge of the table- Lena turned back to the group catching the last bit of Lorilynn’s comment. “Ooh, so this is that kind of lesson?” She questioned mirroring her classmate’s faces, her grin only widening as she continued with her playful thoughts, “Oh I can’t wait to see Officer Nelson’s face when he hears that his daughter is taking such a scandalous class!” Through her playfulness Cholena glanced around the room still snickering at the image of her father’s expression currently occupying her thoughts. After one sweep of the classroom a familiar pair of pigtails caught her eye. Swiftly reaching pass Chepe, Lena pulled Emma into her grasps not letting her small friend free. Knowing that she might disappear from sight the minute she did!

“Where have you been? I’ve been looking ALL over for you!” Lena fibbed. She didn’t actually get a chance to look for Emma during lunch, but she was one to exaggerate things more often than not. Pulling at Emma’s pigtails Lena peered over her friends brown locks at the boy she’d been lost in conversation with. Draping her arms over the smaller girl she cocked an eyebrow at Chuck, changing the tone in her voice to sound similar to protective mother, although the tone was so deep it came off more like a father. “Ahem, what are your intentions with my little Ems?” She asked half playing the other half actually curious about the twos relationship since she hadn’t heard anything about this until Kyren implanted that awful image in her head earlier- which made her lose any appetite she had.

Laughter escaped Chuck's grinning form and before he even thought about what he was going to say, his traitorous mouth replied, "You're the manliest sounding chick I've ever seen!" Immediately, he clamped a hand over his mouth, his blue eyes wide in shock. He hadn't meant that. Well, actually, he had meant it, but he didn't mean to say it...to Lena. "Sorry." The bassist apologized right away, "Sometimes my mouth works faster than my brain."

He extended a calloused hand, intending on a handshake and an introduction. "Chuck Wilder, though you probably know all about me. Emma and I are partners in this class and she's even agreed to spend a little time with me." He squeezed Emma's shoulder gently with his free hand, smiling warmly at the brunette, "Right Emma?"

Reluctantly dragging himself away from the table he had claimed, Kyren wasn't too sure how he was going to find his partner until he saw the teacher helping everyone that didn't seem to know where to go. As his eyes finally settled on the girl he was to be working with for the class, Kyren's eyes widened slightly in horror. If this girl's mouth was as loud as her fashion statement, this was going to be hell. Groaning slightly, he walked slowly, prolonging the meeting, before reaching Lizzie. Settling for only a short nod in her direction, he turned so that his back leaned against the wall, adopting a casual pose with his arms crossed. Perhaps if she thought he was rude, she would avoid talking to him and just hurry through the lesson. One could only hope.

Kyren idly wondered if the girl was any good at art, but knew that, depending on the activity, it might not matter too much. His eyes fixed themselves to the ground immediately in front of his face, trusting his ears to know when class would actually start. As with any other class, the mutt would be all over Emma, and while he hadn't eaten anything recently, the thought of watching them together was still enough to churn his stomach. By this point, Kyren was glaring daggers into the floor, ready to be done with the day so he could be alone once more.

The ivory-haired girl's response to their instructor amused Ah-Gyul to no end. Paint naked? She didn't seem like she would actually do something like that, didn't have the guts, but the though of it was rather entertaining.
Then again, he had a similar attachment to his own clothes.
Slipping off his blazer and Rolex and placing them aside neatly on a table, he was prepared as he could be for the moment, and yet he still had no inkling of who his partner for this particular event might be. Even their assignment was unclear at the moment. That didn't particularly please him, but since it was wasting time NOT doing art, it was all the better in the end. Think positively, the Korean thought with another characteristic smirk.
