Kyren Ari Stills

Hello there my fellow Roleplayers!
Sorry for the delay but "Mr. Rodeo" had too much personality for just one month! Anyways lets kick him to the curb now and welcome our newest and most anticipated character, Mr. Moody himself,

Kyren Stills

From the words of our lovely Sui, "Like a true Cancer, he is moody and reserved!"

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

True this young man is rather rough around the edges. Far from your "friendly" average highschooler. Secluding himself majority of the time Kyren immerses his attention and talent into his sketchbook. However his stoic aura is shaken only when his adorkable little sister, Emma is in his presence! If your lucky (very very very lucky) when she shows up you may even see him crack a smile. And who knows he may even have a smile that makes girl's swoon! But it's usually gone just a quickly as it appeared.

Okay, lets just get it out of the way and say this boy has an undeniable sister complex! Unwavering in fact! After loosing their father at a young age Kyren promised to protect her in his Dads place. He spends the majority of his time making sure Emma is happy and healthy! Also for her own good he battles to keep the Samo strays far away from her. Now Kyren isn't ALWAYS, as his creator may claim, a Drama King! He can be very compassionate and more than willing to treat you as family if he finds you trustworthy and you become close enough with him.

So, some advice when crossing paths with this eyeliner wearing teen. Keep your loud antic to yourself they certainly don't impress him (just ask Lena)! Keep sugar out of his reach, it makes his do very very bad things! ;) && Don't and I mean DON'T touch his sister!
Follow these simple rules, and you might survive!

Now off to the Interview! This one should be a HOOT!

Okay, so we know that over the past several months there has been very little activity in the roleplay! But really that wasn't the intial point in creating this forum in the first place.
Rai Island is what brought us all together. It's our home away from home, so to speak! We are not just a Forum full of gifted and creative writers . . . however a place full of wacky and crazy friends ;)
A place where we are creating unforgettable memories!

Even though we are constantly changing and still knee deep in finding ourselves in the world; we know that through the tears that fall and the smiles that grace our faces we will always have each other! Because no matter where our lives take us, nothing will change so much that we are not all friends still!

&& We will always have RaiIsland to come back to! Our Island ♥
Okay, okay enough of the cheesiness!
I love you CRAZY ladies!

His dark brows shot up in surprise at hearing Mimi admit that she wasn't allowed in the kitchen and he got the feeling that if she ever cooked for him that it would probably be bad. Nevertheless, he'd try it to spare her feelings at least. The sighing of his fangirls went relatively unnoticed by him as he was so used to hearing it all the time, but he didn't miss a few students looking put off by it. Oh well, can't please everyone... Not that he wanted to.

A Hispanic girl's voice caught his attention and he looked towards her, recognizing her as someone he'd gone to school with for quite some time. She'd never really spoken to him before, so he'd never bothered associating with her either. She seemed all right, particularly if she liked sports. "Well I mostly do acrobatics, gymnastics, swimming, basketball, some martial arts and street hockey, but sometimes I play lacrosse and soccer. Why?"

Eyree looked down startled, feeling an inordinate amount of water hitting her bare toes. The redheaded boy has leaned too far back in his chair. She smiled n return at his brief grin, pulling her knees in tighter to her chest. She was very short so it was very easy for her to fit in the tiny space. Not to mention, it was surprisingly easy to drown out the girly sighs and titters of Fred's admirers. She listened at half attention to the exchange between the Hispanic girl and the handsome boy. But at the mention of gymnastics and acrobatics, she perked up, swiveling her head with rapt attention to face the curly-haired boy. Her eyes glittered and her smirk was back full force. Now this was something she could relate to. Her eleven years of gymnastics training had not been for nothing. But, since it was not her question, she didn't intrude. Maybe if he did gymnastics she would see him at the gymnastics center affixed to the gym in the mall.

Most of the sports didn't really speak to Lupe at all. She wasn't too flexible, so acrobatics and gymnastics were out of the question. Even though she could swim, she was no Micheal Phelps. Basketball was stupid and she'd never even thought of martial arts of hockey. Though martial arts did sound pretty cool to learn. Her lips slowly formed into a pout each time Fred mentioned some sport she didn't care about, until he mentioned soccer. Slamming her fists on the desk, she asked, "Ju any good at it? Fútbol, I mean. I don see ju on no teams."

Mimi was amazed at how many sports Fred did! She didn't even know it was possible for a single person to do so much! The only sport she knew was jogging, and that was only if she could drag her sister out with her. Though she scrunched up her nose at the mention of swimming, she wasn't all that great in the water, in fact she tried to avoid swimming like a bad hair day.

Hearing the pretty speaking girl ask another question, Mimi decided to sneak in another question too. Something that had been plaguing her since she met him. "By the way, what kind of shampoo and conditioner do you use? Its really super soft, shiny too!"

Fred flinched in surprise as she suddenly slammed her fists on the desk. He certainly hadn't been expecting that from the girl, but he nodded anyway. "Yeah, I play in Samo all the time with my brothers and some of our friends." He said cautiously, as if he was slightly worried she might jump at him, "I never really bothered to try out for any teams..."

His attention was again on Mimi as she asked him another question. She seemed like a really nice girl to him, but he caught a few of his admirers shooting glares in her direction and felt a little guilty. The question was innocent enough but it felt like a weight in the pit of his stomach. "I um... I use a generic brand." Fred admitted, slightly uncomfortable.

Mimi's face was uncharacteristically and unsuccessfully serious, her bright and bubbly appearance making it hard for her to look like she was serious at all. "Wow, I'll have to try it sometime! It works wonders on your hair!" That little comment had Fred's fangirls glaring at her again, it was a reminder that she had touched their idols hair like it was nothing at all! Of course Mimi never noticed their heated looks, in her mind the only thing she could see was another item added to her shopping list, just think of how much softer and shinier her hair would be!

While countless sarcastic and glib comments hung on the edge of her tongue, Eyree stayed quiet, the smirk deepening and widening across her face. While every part of her wanted to poke at Fred's obvious discomfort, she remained polite. She rotated her body, straightening her scarred knees, to face the aisle. "What level of gymnastics are you at?" She didn't bother to ask if he competed or not. By the sounds of it, he didn't seem to be a team player.

Well, it's no wonder Lupe never saw him play, she only played with her family and Becky outside of Samo mostly. Her brows furrowed as she was about to ask him another question, but Ms. Kaufman beat her to it.

"Okay okay, enough questions! Since you like talking so much right now, how about you introduce yourself." Katrina said, taping her foot.

"Me?" Lupe asked, pointing to herself. Ms. Kaufman only nodded. "Kay. My names Lupe. I was born in Puerto Rico and... Das... about it." She shrugged. To be honest, Lupe didn't see herself as interesting and she hoped people saw that as well. She didn't feel like having to answer a trillion questions.

Eyree looked towards the teacher. She was looking more and more frazzled as time went on. She shrugged her narrow shoulders, rotating her body to face the front of the classroom again. She pulled her long braid over her shoulder, rotating one of the tony golden discs that he been braided in between her fingers. She turned her face to the Hispanic girl, flashing a glimpse of teeth at her before her lips settled back into her perpetual smirk. "¿Cuánto tiempo llevas jugando al fútbol?" She asked.

"You have a pretty accent!" Mimi called out cheerfully. It wasn't a question, but then it was the truth, she really liked how that Lupe girl talked. It reminded her of a foreign romance she and her sister watched one time, all smooth and sweet with a kick, like dark chocolate with chili in it. Plus she wanted to give someone else a turn to ask something since it seemed like she had done a lot of talking when it was Fred's turn, that and she couldn't think of anything else to say right then, but she was working on it!

Lupe's eyes widened as the girl with the pretty blue eyes spoke in Spanish. Now that was something she least expected. Breaking into a grin, she laughed. "Jajajajaja! Eh, desde yo era una niña." She was about to ask where on Earth did that girl pick up Spanish, but it seems like someone beat her to it. It was the pink haired girl, but instead of a question, she had a comment, which left Lupe with a small blush. "Eh? Uh.. Graci- oh, thanks, I guess." She mumbled, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly. She never received compliments on the regular, so she had no idea what to do when she actually got one. At least she'd remembered to say "Thank you".

Eyree grinned. The surprise that flooded Lupe's eyes was pretty typical. While Eyree certainly looked ethnic (taking more after her mother's Israeli and Russian features), she looked a far cry from Hispanic. But traveling the world meant you had to be able to speak with a multitude of people. Eyree nodded her head sagely. "Ah," she began. "He hecho gimnasia desde hace once años, pero no estoy muy atlético suficiente para el fútbol." She grinned, shrugging. "¿Te gustaría que me enseñara algo de tiempo?"

Nodding excitedly, Lupe said, "No me importa! Solo prepárate para seguir el ritmo de mi!" If Lupe could train her right, maybe she'd want to try out for fútbol. Then, Becky would have to deal with Lupe and her prodigy! Hahaha! I'd have bragging rights for weeks!

"Mkay, I have no idea what you kids are talking about, but it just better not be about me. Unless they're compliments!" Kaufman joked. "...And no one finds my jokes funny. You could at least pretend to laugh, damn it!" She cried. "Anyway, you, kid who came in late! Introduction, please!" Kaufman demanded, eyeing the red head.

Eyree grinned fully now, her white teeth gleaming in contrast to her honey colored skin. The girl's challenge was exciting. And Eyree had never been one to turn down a challenge or to say no to anything (more than likely a bad thing as some of her past experiences indicated, she thought absently). She leaned back in her chair, placing her hands behind her head again, trying to keep her crop top from riding too far up. "Soy excitado. Usted está en!" She enthused, her turquoise eyes lighting up. At another flustered command from Kaufman (and an attempt at a lighthearted joke), the baton of introductions shifted once again, this time to the red head in front of her. Her lips curled, she placed her feet on the top of her desk again, keeping her toes tucked in so as not to bump the boy.

Post  Everett Bolling Sun Oct 21, 2012 1:59 am

Everett listened quietly as Fred listed off all the sports he played. Well, wasn’t he just nice and dandy. He seemed perfect, but Everett knew there was no such thing. There were flaws somewhere in this guy’s perfect exterior. No one could be loved and talented without having a few skeletons in the closest. His eyes returned to the pretty Hispanic girl, and was amused to find her excitedly pounding against the desk. She obviously liked at least something the guy had said. But curly head seemed actually startled by her outburst, rather than motivated to speak about it any further. His answers seemed much more forced, and even after Cotton-candy asked another silly question, his replies were slow and rigid.

Before anything else could be asked, the teacher put an end to the interrogation and put the Hispanic girl under the spotlight. Lupe? Interesting, but it had to be a nickname. The girl that sat behind him asked a question in Spanish, and he had no hope of figuring out what she had said. But hearing “football,” or something similar, made him think she was either talking about soccer, or American football. The former seemed more likely, considering Lupe’s excitement earlier.

This continued until once more the teacher had to step in, and said another lame comment that no one decided to react to. Hey, Everett thought they were funny…sort of. Placing his elbow on his desktop, he leaned his cheek on his fist lazily, waiting for the next person to be called on. He was surprised to hear that she’d called him out, and he glanced up at her just to make sure she wasn’t talking about another tardy student. Ms. Kaufman seemed to be staring right at him, so he guessed it was his turn.

Glancing back at the students, he paused for a moment to collect his thoughts. There really wasn’t much to say. “The name’s Everett. Last name isn’t important.” He said simply, “Hmm, well, as far as hobbies go…I like to have fun.” A naughty smirk lifted upon Everett’s lips, leaving the imagination to wander as to what exactly he called “fun.” Old habits die hard, as they always say. It seemed that he was done, but then he perked up slightly, “Oh! And I just moved here from Florida, and I’m currently looking for a tour guide. That spot’s open to anyone.” He grinned, showing all his pearly whites in a friendly, not to mention eager, invitation.

A glint came into her eyes, something mischievous and daring all at once. Oh, he liked to have fun, did he? That was right up her alley, and she gave an internal eyebrow-wiggle. Though she couldn't see much of the redhead (Everett, she corrected mentally) what with him sitting directly in front of her, she caught flashes of his cheeky grin and bright eyes. Though she had to roll her eyes at the mention of Florida (she had lived there for a few months during the summer approximately seven years ago and it had been miserable), Eyree had a ready retort to counter. "What a coincidence! I like to have fun too!" She exclaimed in her raspy voice (many people asked if she smoked, much to her dismay). She arched her back, pulling down the front of her top to cover more of her stomach. "Unfortunately, I'm new to the island, too. So I'm afraid I wouldn't be much help."

When the tardy student -Everett- answered, an amused grin slid across Fred's face. So that's the kind of guy he was, was it? Not that he could blame him, he wasn't innocent himself. The nickname "Romeo" wasn't just because of his looks after all. The only reasons Fred bothered keeping up a certain appearance were because it benefited him and because he couldn't be bothered to deal with nagging. Friends were nice, admirers were all right, but if he had to be flanked all the time by obsessive people, then they could pull their own weight - and his, if necessary. Fred immediately dismissed the thought of offering to show him around, not being one to give dudes a tour. The guy obviously wanted alone time with one of the pretty girls in class, a feeling he himself would have had. Everett might have been a kindred spirit or he might not. Either way, he was definitely one to watch...he'd probably be rather entertaining.

Folding her arms, Lupe stared at Everett for a while, before asking "Ju like to have fun? Wha kinda fun?" Did he burn down buildings just for the hell of it? Or maybe he liked to play board games? Or what if he was implying some sort of sexual innuendo. Like Kaufman would let us talk about that in her class anyway. Lupe wouldn't have minded taking him on a tour, she just wanted to know a little more about him before she did. You never know. He was probably insane for all she knew. Better to be safe than sorry. Well, there was that, and if the kid had money on him, he'd better be buying her lunch. I can't give tours on an empty stomach, She smirked.

Hearing a rougher, yet most definitely female voice speak up beside him, he turned slightly to face her. Her comment encouraged his mischievous side, and the corner of his lips turned up into a playful smirk. Leaning more onto her desk, he louder his voice slightly, “Well, I’m sure we could work something out.”

Lupe spoke up in a questioning voice, and Everett’s amused gaze fell on her. Should he really put it into words? His eyes shifted towards Ms. Kaufman before flicking back to Lupe, “Hmm,” he paused, as if he was thinking about how to word it, he’s eyes wondering slightly before falling back to meet her gaze, “let’s just say you’ll have to be willing to find out for yourself.” He winked, emphasizing the flirty undertone to his words. She was just going to have to take the leap if she wanted to get answers to her question. Everett found it slightly entertaining, to see the reactions of his new classmates. He could already see a few other girls whispering. And by the looks he received, he was sure that not all had something good to say. The reason unknown to the class, his smirk deepened slightly, but he said nothing more. He knew now that they had assumed that he was insinuating something crude in his words. Maybe he was, but that was up to them to decide. After all, it wasn’t the first time that fellow classmates would think that of him. It wasn’t like they were completely wrong either.

Her eyebrows rose as Everett seemed to be... Flirting with her? Even though Lupe could feel the heat slowly rising to her cheeks, she couldn't help but glare at him. Great. Now there were two of them in one class. That meant even more fan girls. Ju have got to be shitting me. Lupe groaned inwardly as she face palmed mentally. She figured maybe she'd just sleep for the rest of class, but Ms. Kaufman's booming voice indirectly told her otherwise.

"Hahaha, you kids..." Katrina chuckled, giving the class her signature Cheshire Cat grin. "Alrighty then, movin on! You! Purple-haired child! Speak now or forever hold your peace!"

Eyree flashed a satisfied smile. Oh yes, she knew how to play this game well. The raging innuendo but without the familiarity to determine whether it was sincere or not; she had played with fire before and managed to come out on the other side unburned. "Hmmmm... I suppose so. Guess we'll have to explore together now, won't we?" There were a few shocked looks pointed her way, but those were nothing new to Eyree. Absently, she picked up her braid again, fingering a golden disc. It rattled musically between her fingers. "And Lupe can join us!" She added. She turned her head to the beautiful Hispanic girl. "Estoy seguro de que conoce todos los lugares divertidos para ir a la isla, sí?" Her voice was light, portraying her insincerity about the whole thing.

She glanced up, hearing herself addressed (well, at least by some recognizable feature). She pursed her lips in mock thought. "Hmmmm, what can I tell the class about myself," she mused aloud. She leaned back in her chair, fondling her mother's golden discs carefully. "Well, my name is Eyree Sutherland. If you pronounce it somewhere between 'airy' and 'eerie', you're doing it right. Ummmm, I'm an army brat, I speak four languages fluently, before this I was living in Istanbul and elsewhere around the world. Aaaaaand, I like jewelry, tattoos, and gymnastics, I've never said no to anything in my life, and no this is not my natural hair color," she finished, a self-satisfied smirk curling her pale lips. "Sorry, that was a little longwinded, huh?"

"I thought you said you've never said no to anything in your life?" Fred teased good-naturedly in response to her comment 'no this is not my natural hair color'. No wonder she had been so interested when he'd mentioned gymnastics and acrobatics. "And in response to your earlier question, I'm not the greatest gymnast or acrobat. I do it for balance and fitness, not professionally. Do you excel in those fields? If so, do you do it professionally?"

"Wow, our class sure does have a lot of athletes!" Mimi wasn't really sure if she was including herself in that group of sports stars, after all shopping and admiring cute things was more her forte then anything active and sporty. But she appreciated athletic ability when she saw it, a master of an art was always beautiful to watch in his/her own element.

She was really impressed with the other girls in her class though, they seemed so much more worldly then she was. They could even talk in other languages! Like this purple haired girl, Eyree, she seemed like she knew so much and had been to so many places! Not to mention she had a rather interesting character too, and she even said she liked jewelry! "So what kind of jewelry do you like?"

Startled by the sudden mention of her name, Lupe turned her attention to Eyree, a bit surprised she was volunteering her to be tour guide. "Eh, sí, claro supongo. Depende de lo que todos les gusta hacer para divertirse." The brunette shrugged. Though, if Everett's "fun" was what she thought it was, she certainly wouldn't be showing him around. But it seems Eyree didn't mind his flirting. She even flirted back.

Listening to Eyree's introduction, a small smile tugged at Lupe's lips. "Ju travel? ¿Qué lugares has estado? ¿Puedes hablar un poco de algo para mí que no sea otro español?" The only languages Lupe had ever heard in her life were Spanish and English, so hearing something else would be quite intriguing.

Eyree swiveled her head to look at Fred. The corner of her mouth tugged up in a lopsided grin. "Damn, someone was actually paying attention!" She drawled. "Good catch there, Fred. You're a smart one" the blase statement earned a few derogative grumbles from his fan base. "Alright, I amend my previous statement. I've never said no to any challenge, dare, or adventure in my life. Unless of course it conflicts with my hideously absent moral compass." Followed by a wink, of course, to indicate the joke in her words. At his further probing, Eyree extended her tiny body, gesturing at her "gymnast's thighs" and the well-muscled stomach that her crop top left bared. "Well, I've got no aspirations to go the Olympics or anything. But I've been training in gymnastics and acrobatics for almost twelve years now. I'd like to think I'm pretty damn good at it by then." She gestured at the thin white scars across both her knees that extended a good deal down her legs. "I'm good enough to have torn both my ACL and MCL in both knees and have had to replace both kneecaps." She shrugged nonchalantly.

Her attention was then drawn to the pink-haired girl with the vibrant smile and obviously effervescent personality. She couldn't stop the full grin that spread across her face. The girl seemed incredibly pleased at her mention of jewelry. She picked up her heavy braid of purple hair, gently shaking it so that the tiny golden discs rattled. "Anything that makes noise, really," she told her. Carefully, she disentangled a single disc from her braid, handing it over the aisle for Mimi to look at. "These were a gift from my mom's family in Israel when I was born." She pointed out the delicate engraving on the side of the disc. "They say 'grace, strength, honor, courage, and beauty' around the edges. I personally don't own much jewelry. This is the only thing I can really claim as my own," she tapped the little crystal in her nose. "When you're with the army, you don't really have much. So most of the jewelry I wear is my mom's. Her family sends her stuff from Israel or Russia all the time. And I've picked up a few things when we've been in the Holy Land." Eyree grinned lazily. "Maybe you'd like to check it out some time, tell me what's in and what's not?"

And finally to Lupe. She smiled again at the Hispanic girl, a brief flash of white teeth. "I don't think I'd have enough time to tell you all the places I've been. Suffice it to say, I've lived in every continent excluding Antarctica at the very least five times. My parents are quite handy lingually and culturally. They both know four languages a person, so they're pretty invaluable to the army. I've been moving ever since I got my first year vaccines and it was declared safe for me to leave the country." She grinned. "My favorite places so far have been in Turkey, Ireland, and Thailand." At the request for her to speak in another language, Eyree readily agreed. She spoke Spanish, Italian, Russian, and Hebrew, on top of English fluently. Italian was too close to Spanish, she decided and she was more comfortable with Russian than Hebrew. She grinned mischievously. "Kak dela, Lupe? Menya zovut Eyree. Ya kooshayu doohi deetay na ftornik utram, ee tansuyu goliy kagda dojd edot." A flawless Russian sentence, she thought with satisfaction. "Russian," she explained.
