Celi could feel her eyebrow twitching again in irritation, it had been like that since her earlier conversation with John, where they'd both gotten irked with one another over her outfit. And it'd since only gotten worse the more annoyed she got, her eyes giving a cold glare to anyone who looked her way and her lips forming an angry pout of frustration.
Oh, she wasn't pissed at the dumbass, she had been but she'd gotten over that fairly quickly given her knew source of displeasure was increasing.
No, the reason why she was so pissed now was because of how tense her back was getting the longer gym class went on.
Her back only got tense like this when she was being stared at...
It always annoyed the hell out of her whenever people stared at her, it made her tense up and on edge, and her back fucking hurt dammit!
She was just going through the motions after deciding to ignore John for the rest of class for being a dumbass, her initial anger making her want to stay away from the boy, and she followed along as the class did their stretches, laps, and warmups.
But steadily the rosette felt more and more eyes on her back as the class went on, and her instinct to snap at whoever was doing it was strong.
Still, her rational side knew it wouldn't be a good idea, so instead she took to trying to hide.
Terry was a big guy, quiet and friendly enough to let her stick by his side as they ran laps around the track with her trying to make herself scarce in his shadow.
It worked...to a degree...
The larger boy had become something of a shield to her, already very much taken with his beau Patty and best of all, he was polite enough to not give her any looks despite her appearance. So he was perfect for keeping most of the prying eyes off her as they ran since she was avoiding her usual shield.
But all too soon they came back, staring at her intensely despite her not even doing anything aside from chugging some water after their laps.
It was so annoying, they were just clothes for crying out loud! She understood that she was considered to be pretty, but come on! They didn't have to constantly watch her!
Celi liked the way she looked, took pride in taking care of herself in fact, and loved dressing herself nicely too to make herself feel special. She did it for herself, not for anyone else, and she absolutely refused to let the hungry masses scare her into wearing something else.
So instead, she was tense and getting angrier by the minute, because no matter how good a shield Terry was, there was just no stopping people from looking at her. So when it came time to pick teams, she absentmindedly walked to the right side of a the court, taking up the spot just behind John as she glared at the wall.
Oh, she was going to make people hurt, and she was going to enjoy it.
